Job Description:

Job Summary
Manages the sale of products and services in a specified geographic area through assigned sales engineers and reps and sales office activities Develops sales plans and budgets for achieving sales goals

Key Job Responsibilities
Manage, lead, motivate, develop and coach a sales team of Sales Engineers
Responsible for sales growth and profitability
Develop and maintain solid distribution strategy
Implementation of sales activities (ie Promotions, New products, All Star, local campaigns)
Support and manage development of marketing activities (ie CPP, new marketing concepts)
Provide sales forecast and plan
Manage and monitor achievement of goals and performance (ie plan, forecasts, OPEX/T&D, KPIs)
Design and implement a strategic business plan that expands companys customer base and ensure its strong presence
Own recruiting, objectives setting, coaching and performance monitoring of Sales Engineers
Identify emerging markets and market shifts while being fully aware of new products and competition status
Provide supervision through field visits, observations and measurement of results to include performance appraisals and salary reviews
Succession planning and mentoring

Requirements
8-10 Years experience
Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering or relevant field
8 or more years of relevant experience or non-degreed with 12 or more years of relevant experience
3 or more years of management experience
Successful previous experience as a sales engineer or sales manager, consistently meeting or exceeding targets
In depth understanding of the metal cutting or precision tooling industry
Excellent mentoring, coaching and people management skills
Proficiency with MS Office in Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Ability to travel 75 PERCENT of the time
Ability to apply technical solutions to customers
Understanding of contracts and previous experience leading commercial negotiations is preferred
