VIP user Support Engineer

VIP user Support Engineer will be a very hands-on, member of the IT Infrastructure Support Services team responsible for providing end to end devices support to Anand Group promoters and other VIP users for PC desktop, laptop configuration, mobile devices, and application support including Apple, Windows OS and other applications at chairman office, promoter residence and other locations if required This is an internal customer-facing role, and requires excellent prioritization, responsiveness, and customer service, along with excellent verbal communication skills In keeping with Anand Group values and competencies, the VIP user Support Engineer develops and maintains positive working relationships with all contacts internal and external to Anand Group

Endpoint Support

Install, upgrade, support and troubleshoot Apple devices and associated applications
Install, upgrade, support and troubleshoot for latest gadgets, printers, computer hardware and any other authorized peripheral equipment at Chairman Office and residence or outstation locations if required
Performs general preventative maintenance tasks on computers, laptops, printers and any other authorized peripheral equipment
Excellent search capabilities to the download the requested content for the promoters from internet
Provide solutions by internet search and sharing complete comparative analysis for the products (Hardware and applications) when required
Return defective equipment/parts to maintenance inventory, document repairs, maintain and restock assigned parts inventory to insure proper spare parts levels for Chairman office
Arrange for and/or prepare equipment for shipping/receiving Safely package / monitor IT equipment packaging for other locations and arrange for the transport of the equipment
Responsible for monitoring, operating, managing, troubleshooting and restoring to service any terminal service client, personal computers (PC) or notebooks that has authorized access to the network
When the restoration is beyond the scope of the computers, laptops, printers and any other authorized peripheral equipment the VIP Support Engineers will escalate the issue/problem to proper tier 3 support team member or initiate a call with the OEM
Monitor and troubleshooting network connectivity on wired and wireless network
Manage and maintain VC equipment from Polycom and other OEMs which is currently installed
Develop trends by documenting, monitoring and analysing calls, problems and support requests
Provide data and application recovery for end point devices
Responsible for tracking hardware and software inventory
Use diagnostic tools to troubleshoot problems associated with network connectivity, devices, workstation and other hardware/software
Use tools and methodologies to load, copy and customize operating system configurations for deployment
Familiarize end users on basic software, hardware and peripheral device operation
Take ownership and responsibility of queries, issues and problems assigned to the VIP user Support Engineer
Work with vendor support contacts to resolve technical issues for devices
Escalate issues and involve experts wherever required in order to resolve issues as quickly as possible
Works with other IT team members regarding new requirements for devices, connectivity or any other requirements as per request
Maintains IT records and tracking for area of responsibility
The duties require that the VIP user Support Engineer correctly records work requests using the support desk
Develop sound understanding of IT operations and related applications and IT systems as well as business related processes and procedures
Develop technical knowledge of each system within company profile and specialized knowledge of certain nominated areas
Maintain adequate knowledge of operating systems and application software used to provide a high level of support
Maintains and consistently demonstrates a general knowledge of company guidelines, processes, practices and procedures
Update key stakeholders on daily basis

Experience / Knowledge/Skills /Other requirements

Excellent technical expertise in managing and troubleshooting Windows XP, Windows 7, Windows 8, Apple IOS, Time machine, Drobo, Microsoft Office 2007, Office 2010, Office 2013, Office 365, Google Apps
Excellent technical expertise in managing and troubleshooting Apple Products, devices and associated applications
Strong Analytical Skills and problem solving skills with proven track record of meeting Customer Expectations
Excellent technical knowledge of pcs and desktop hardware
Excellent technical knowledge of printers, Scanners & Multifunction Devices (MFDs)
Working technical knowledge of current protocols, operating systems and standards
Ability to operate tools, components and peripheral accessories
A and N experience
Software and Hardware Troubleshooting
Understanding of Routers, switches and firewall, Windows 2000/2003/2008/2012, TCP/IP , SQL,Linux
Professional image and grooming
Self-confidence and interpersonal skills
Good communication (both verbal and written) skills
Planning and organizing skills
Strong listening skills
Able to operate effectively in a team environment with both technical and nontechnical team members

Experience should be 5 years with minimum 3 years in VIP Support
BTech /BCA and CCNA/MCSA/MCSE, MAC Certification is preferable
