Job Description:

To organize and direct a team, that develops top quality of Food and Beverage products, with prompt, accurate and personalized service, to achieve the optimum level of guest satisfaction and departmental profitability in an atmosphere of teamwork and high employee morale

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES




  • Ensures prompt, efficient and accurate service to all the customers to achieve high level of guest satisfaction



  • Sets up and ensures maintenance of the outlet according to hotel standards



  • Optimizes seating capacity by constantly monitoring reservation status and professionally allocating tables



  • Works with F & B Manager / Assistant F&B Manager to determine menus and prices



  • Monitors and controls quantities, cost and quality of supplies for the outlet



  • Prepares capital and operational budget for the year



  • Ensures guest histories are maintained and updated on daily basis



  • Ensures that outlet employees adhere to hotel policies and standards



  • Proposes and participates in advertising, promotions and marketing efforts for the outlet



  • Practices upselling to increase average per cover and trains his staff to do the same



  • Proposes changes in policies and procedures to increase efficiency and improve service level



  • Conducts daily briefings to communicate necessary information



  • Controls pilferage and breakage to effectively manage operational cost



  • Ensures cost effectiveness of resources (material & staff) under his / her control to achieve optimum profitability



  • Ensures all the staff in the department is fully trained through constant on-the-job training



  • Uses appraisal system to review the performance of direct subordinates and determines their development needs



  • Counsels subordinates in work-related matters



  • Any other duty assigned by the management and / or manager from time to time







  • Meets and exceeds the expectations of the employees by utilizing leadership skills and motivation techniques in order to maximize productivity and satisfaction of direct reports







  • Creates a positive work environment for all employees



  • Determines and communicates standards of performance to all employees Evaluates employee performance on a regular basis



  • Develops employees to maximize potential and prepare for future promotional opportunities by conducting counseling sessions, determining developmental needs and allowing these needs to be met



  • Ensures that disciplinary action is taken as required, utilizing consistency, fairness and respect within the framework of established guidelines







  • Maintains a safe and secure environment for customers and employees







  • Ensures that all employees follow safety rules and procedures



  • Takes corrective action where required to improve safety of work areas



  • Ensures that employees are trained in emergency procedures







  • Keeps immediate supervisor promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance



  • You will promote a culture of innovation and lateral thinking in day-to-day activities to help the organization to competitively differentiate the quality of its services and products



  • You will perform all such duties and responsibilities periodically assigned by the management in a timely and efficient manner in accordance with established company procedures and policies to achieve the overall objective of this position



  • You will maintain a favourable working relationship with all other company employees to foster and promote a co-operative and harmonious working climate
