Regional Immigration Lead - APAC ( Job Number 1922781 )

Role Summary

The Regional Immigration Lead - APAC will provide support for all company immigration matters including advisory, processes, compliance, and issue resolution and vendor management They are immigration subject matter experts (SME) within their respective regions and utilize their immigration knowledge to assist in resolving service escalation and immigration compliance issues and act as the immigration advisor for the countries in which the company operates This includes liaison with internal Legal and Compliance teams, relevant HR functional teams to ensure alignment between overall company compliance initiatives and immigration programs The Region Immigration Lead APAC has specific accountability for managing the global immigration provider in all the countries in which they support us and to build effective relationships with other providers or internal employees who manage immigration

Essential Responsibilities

Immigration Business Partner

Resolve immigration issues by choosing a strategy to best fit the operational need and compliance risk

Manage vendor relationships and act as their immigration go to person for region specific activities

Provide Immigration quota guidance and support

Involvement in immigration audits, eg to ensure collection of necessary data from vendor and for post audit process review

Communicate key immigration legislation changes to business and leadership that directly impact the company

Compliance

Develop a good working relationship with Regional Legal Compliance Leads and teams

Regular liaison with

HRBPs to obtain information, inform and educate on immigration compliance

Key business leaders such as Product Company Managers/Directors to become a resource for immigration compliance information

Report compliance concerns to Immigration Director and Regional Legal Compliance Leads to create visibility

Prepare immigration guidelines / fact sheets for the region

Co-participate/present in compliance training sessions as needed

Key Project Management and Communications

Agree key countries and work with colleagues in HR to create process map(s) for these destinations

Act as the immigration partner (vendor) liaison to successfully implement immigration support in all countries

SME support for internal project teams on immigration integration points for other systems

Reporting

Regularly review initiation volumes, performance metrics and time to process reports

Analyze the data to identify immediate process improvements and/or resolution

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS

7 years of professional immigration experience

Degree from an accredited University

Must be able to speak fluent English (other languages also beneficial)

Eligibility Requirements

Legal authorization to work in country of employment

Desire Characteristics

Knowledge of immigration processes in Asia Pacific region

Knowledge on Mobility process for Rotator, Expat & Field personal will be beneficial

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Interpersonal and customer service skills

Strong PC skills Visio, SAP, MS Office; strong MS Excel and SAP reporting skills

Organization and prioritization skills

Resourceful and self-driven, with ability to work independently and as part of a team

Project experience preferable
