Job Description:

Act as the Fixed Assets Lead within the Record to Report Process Tower, defining and owning the end-to-end process and reporting across functional, geographic and business unit boundaries, leveraging fit to standard SAP Hana templated solutions to deliver one value of the truth, increased self-service, enhanced user experience, efficient processes and effective financial controls The outcome is to fundamentally transform our Business Processes (Project / Contracts, Internal Trading, Fixed Assets and Cost Accounting) for all internal and external stakeholders

The role will manage and own many priorities, deliverables and key stakeholders Developimg and delivering plans that successfully mitigate risks, deal with ambiguity and define the strategic direction of MFB

What youll be doing

Accountable for the business process and decisions for the Design & Integration authority to transform BTs global processes, policy and control across all CFUs and CUs

Own the relationships necessary to implement the business process deliverables both across the business and with the Transformation partner teams where required, demonstrating understanding of the financial and operational consequences of performance

Lead, coach and mobilise other team members to define metrics and performance goals for the tower

Accountability for the standard process design for business process (with sign off from the Tower Transformation Lead);

o Lead on managing the business stakeholder input into detailed designs and requirements

o Manage sign off to policy changes required for overall design

o Ensure Data Governance, Data Quality and Master and Reference Data are embedded into the design and delivery

o Own validation process exceptions (eg tax, legal or statutory) with the Tower Transformation Lead and capture in agreed template such as RICEFW

o Ensure all necessary controls are embedded into the design, signed off by the controls team ready for deployment into BAU

o Support GPO with short term initiatives

Lead the fit to standard workshops for business process ensuring business requirements are fully reflected in the end to end design, exceptions to standard are minimised, best practices/use cases fully leveraged and implications for new ways of working are fully understood

Accountable for testing & quality management

o Steward, lead and partner in translating requirements and use cases into test conditions and expected results for product, performance, and user acceptance testing

o Participate in quality management reviews, in particular reviews of the designs, prototypes, and other requirements work products to ensure they fulfil the requirements

o Review and approval of test scripts and execution of testing to ensure requirements are met in the end solution

Steward, lead and partner with the business and external team (TP & SI) to ensure all activities are carried out in accordance with MFB governance, framework and ways of working

Identify and manage critical path dependencies as part of supporting the development of the overall Record to Report roadmap

By working with the technical, change and business teams define and agree the cutover and business readiness plans

Accountable for business process that the programme team and CFU/CU teams work together to transition processes into the business as part of deployment and ensure business adoption

Define and own detailed plans to meet programme and transformation milestones, escalating risks, issues and important decisions to the relevant governance body as required

Lead on the business process element of continuing the transformation of Record to Report to best in class, applying ongoing continuous improvement to identify and implement changes (as agreed with the Finance Design & Integration Authority)

Accountable for compliance to standards, controls and procurement policy

Accountable for ensuring BT meets all statutory and regulatory obligations

Leadership lead multiple discipline teams from participants from MFB, the wider BT businesses and the transformation partners to successfully deliver the project deliverables

Knowledge of Business Process Knowledgeable in the drivers of organisational performance improvement, including people drivers of performance and financial literacy (eg business KPIs, business cases)

Matrix working Comfortable working on a large programme where activities are managed according to a matrix structure Able to work collaboratively and manage the time of their team to meet project deliverables Resilient and able to challenge others, dealing with resistance to change to meet defined Programme objectives

Trusted advisor Good understanding and/or ability to learn about best practice and make process / system improvement recommendations Strong stakeholder management and communication skills

Qualified accountant (ACCA/CIMA/ACA) with deep understanding of Internal Trading management or Project/Contract Accounting or Fixed Assets or Cost Accouting
