The R&D Integration & Service Manager is a newly created position within our R&D Technical Operations team Success in this role requires working with many stakeholders to ensure on-market and prototype instruments are well documented, up and running and ready to support all R&D activities

Key Job Responsibilities

Perform all duties in compliance with appropriate regulations Oversees and audit ready lab environment and instrument record
Is responsible for escalation and resolution of compliance issue

Own the day to day operations of the lab service team, acting as the single point of contact for all issues pertaining to instruments involved in ongoing R&D projects Supervises and participates in completion of laboratory testing required to qualify an instrument or prototype prior to handoff to product development organization
Coordinates demand service repair on laboratory instruments and external study sites
Ensures equipment is properly maintained and maintenance is documented

Plans and organizes the integration of hardware and software changes into laboratory systems Maintains the configuration of instruments currently in development or on-market
Produces internal procedures, troubleshooting guides, integration test protocols and check-lists for new hardware and software integration
Investigates technical issues and determines root cause through design of experiments

Ensures that the lab infrastructure & inventory is properly managed and maintained Develops metrics for measurement of system uptime & usage
Coordinates with purchasing, supply chain and shipping / receiving, to ensure adequate inventory of laboratory supplies, spares and reagents
Develops forecasts for material usage / cost and timeline considerations

Assist in development and implementation of educational and training programs
Identifies and effectively resolves personnel issues
Maintains effective communications within ADD Hematology organization & leadership
Identifies areas for improvement and drives process changes for operational efficiency
Maintains a safe and healthy work environment for employees and customers


Bachelors degree in engineering or life sciences
A minimum of 8 years of experience with a proven track record in development phases
Experience planning and building out hardware / software integration activities
Strong organization, communication and management skills
Ability to multi-task in a dynamic environment
2 years of experience managing others is preferred
