Purpose and Objective

Ariba, Inc seeks a Quality Specialist for our Palo Alto, CA office location to work in a cross functional development or testing team with special focus to quality assurance and test related tasks within the product creation process

Expectations and Tasks

Analyze, define, implement, and execute quality and test related activities according to a given quality, and test strategy for the product area Create a detailed test design including test system landscape requirements and product standards, prepare tests (customizing and master data), author and execute manual and automated tests Analyze test results (issues) and take appropriate follow-up actions Serve as the subject matter expert in the team in terms of quality assurance and test related processes, methods and tools Apply product domain knowledge to relevant business processes and scenarios and a basic understanding of customer needs

Education and Qualifications/Skills and Competencies

Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or related field and 5 years of experience required Company will also accept Masters and 2 years of experience

Work Experience

Experience must involve 2 years in the following test automation skills with Java, Junit, Selenium, TestNG, script, and Jenkins; executing and maintaining large testing automation system, more than 1000 test scripts; Database/SQL, including Oracle or HANA, JVM, OS; UNIX/Linux based environments; testing scalable Web based application; QA testing/methodology, including white box testing, black box testing, and integration testing; and designing, implementing, and executing test plans that include unit, functional, regression, system and integration tests
