This role aims to

Connects to broader business goals - Well-defined business requirements help lay out a project charter, a critical step in executing business strategy or business goals, and to take it to the next logical step of developing it into an IT system or solution This helps monitoring overall project health and provides for positive traction with key project stakeholders including sponsors
Consensus creation and collaboration - The benefit of a structured format typical of business requirements documentation helps create positive consensus and more effective collaboration where the business stakeholder group might be a large cross-functional team, distributed geographically
Increase enterprise wide change management project success- Structured explanation of a business process or method defined early in the life cycle helps reduce project failures that occur due to misaligned or misrepresented requirements leading to failure of user expectations
Improve top lines and saves costs - Good quality of business requirements when captured early-on improves success of a project, improve efficient business process and also save overall costs associated with change requests, and related investments in training, infrastructure, etc

Job Qualifications

Exposure to Item Master Management in Oracle/Siebel/Enovia is preferred
Ability to work effectively in ambiguous situations, strong critical thinking skills and ability to be decisive while working cooperatively with others
Able to work collaboratively, communicate, influence, and reason effectively with business and technical partners to deliver quality solutions to meet business objectives
Must have a strong will to relate to big picture and quality solution
Must have strong verbal and written communication skills
Willing to work in global environment (outside of standard business hours)
Proficient in Microsoft Office including Microsoft Project and SharePoint
Knowledge of critical IT engineering and ERP systems (eg Enovia/MatrixOne & Oracle)
Understanding of data modeling, data analysis, and data standard concepts & tools
Know or be willing to learn Oracle PL-SQL and Microsoft Transact-SQL
Independent, self-starting and accountable
Bachelors Degree or equivalent relevant experience
Minimum of 5 years Business Analysis and Project Management or equivalent experience

Job Function

Identifying and documenting business functional and non-functional requirements as well as user and stakeholder requirements This includes high-level requirements (eg objectives or expected benefits) and detailed requirements (eg system or software features expected to be created)
Identifies possible solutions, approach or architecture
Works with IT to develop technical solutions and works within the business on the process solution
Working with business to develop business process solutions cross-functionally and to develop solutions that meet the needs of multiple business partners
Documents and describes what the system, process, data definition needs or product/service must do to fulfill the business requirements
Managing global forums for process and data management, data quality, etc
Oversees process development, documentation, and training
Periodically analyzes and audits business processes to make sure they are being followed, work as expected and determine if they require enhancement or improvement
Make sure there are up-to-date and accurate reports to ensure solution and processes are effective Respnsible for analyzing the reports (performing or overseeing data clean-up, etc)
Drives clean-up and preventin of data quality issues

As a project manager this individual must define what a project must achieve, and according to what quality measures (eg, key performance indicators or tangible objectives) They are involved in the implementation approach and managing the impact in all business areas They are also responsible for numerous aspects of the project from business analysis to plan management, stakeholder engagement and risk management Responsibilities of this role included
