About the team

The Application Services team provides both onsite and offshore staff augmentation resources for a multitude of Clients based in the USA across many diverse Industries We provide resources in all facets of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) including Project Managers, Developers, Architects, Data Base Analysts, QA Analysts and Production Support resources

This role will be onsite at our client office in beautiful McMinnville, OR

What you will be doing

Creating, testing, implementing, and executing automated and manual risk-based test plans and scripts, ensuring they are closely aligned with business functional and technical requirements
Document defects with detail, accuracy, and conscientiousness
Track, report, and follow up on defects using appropriate toolsets
Collaborate with developers and business analysts to optimize testing, defect isolation and defect tracking
Define, develop, and implement quality assurance practices and procedures, test plans, and other QA assessments
Contribute to continuous improvement in testing / quality assurance and application development processes
Testing mainframe applications occasionally

What you bring

Recent demonstrable experience in the Auto, Property, Liability Insurance etc industry practices, regulations and processes
Familiar with any of the following Java/Groovy, Python and C# along with test tools like Selenium, Appium, Silk etc
In-depth knowledge of one or more end-to-end systems lifecycle development methodologies
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to technical and non-technical audiences of various levels in the organization, eg, executive, management, individual contributors
Excellent analytical, decision-making, problem-solving, interpersonal, team-building, negotiation, conflict management and time management skills
A Bachelors degree in computer science, information systems, business administration or other related discipline or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience
Requires a minimum of five years IT and business experience
