About the opportunity Purpose of your role

This role is for an experienced Agile Project Manager to work within the MA FactSet technology team to focus on delivery of new business functionality and enablement of less experienced colleagues in development teams of 2-3 project / programs in parallel, each consisting of 3-6 members The successful candidate will work closely with the programme manager and the Architect assigned to the project/ development team Skills include

(a) Able to demonstrate a good understanding of how a project is planned and tracked, in particular being able to identify, communicate and track dependencies, risks and issues

(b) Assisting with project planning and dependency management through the building and maintenance of project schedules

(c) Being able to build a strong understanding of the details of the projects

(d) Ability to produce high quality project reporting on behalf of the programme and project managers

(e) To act as the point of contact for the Equity Quants Delivery teams into the change and business management function for the provision of organisation level forecasting and financial management and reporting This person would

Manage adherence and improvement of current processes in line with the Business goals
Devise strategic and tactical solutions for process implementation in line with the companys drivers for excellent quality deliveries

Key Responsibilities

Working with the Programs Business Analysts and Architects to provide requirements and plan different phases of project along with Estimation, Execution-approach, RAID tracking, and daily operational management following Agile-practices but adhering to program phase deadlines
Coordinating with various teams/SPOCs to bring clarity on High-level-plan to make Low-level plan with proper structure of EPIC and stories
Delivery business functionality quickly, efficiently and to a high quality having complete end-to-end ownership of assigned projects
Raising the productivity and quality of development teams by promoting agile practices and sharing skills through mentoring and/or pairing
Ownership of problems from first notification through to resolution

Demonstrates continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality seamless customer service
Ability to apply development language knowledge to supply development solutions efficiently that comply with coding standards, technical design, performance requirements and functional specifications
Ensuring that the wider requirements of the change and business management function are met with regards to governance, reporting, financial processes and resource management
Build and maintain cross project/delivery schedules and proactively track and report dependencies
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

Experience and Qualifications

BE / B-Tech / MCA
10-13 years of industry experience with exposure to complete life cycle of development & support

Essential Skills

10-13 years of industry experience with exposure to complete life cycle of development & support
Experience of delivering Oracle based projects using Agile methodologies (Preferably CSM)
Ability to drive daily operational tracking, reporting RAID, Action-items with proper discipline
Experience on Java, Python or any other core programming skill
Knowledge of essential Software Engineering principles and RDBMS concepts
Good hands on experience with Dev-Ops and Continuous-Integration practices
Proficiency on these Tools JIRA, Confluence, Bamboo / UrbanDeploy, SVN
Knowledge of project planning and tracking by using tools such as MS-Project
Good experience on People Management and conflicts resolution
Ability to work closely with cross functional teams
Behavioural and Personal Characteristics Core and soft skills - Practised abilities, capabilities and behaviours
Enthusiasm for an agile approach to development
A real desire to do things the right way whilst remaining delivery focused
Innovative and enthusiastic about technology and using it appropriately to solve problems
Excellent communication/presentation inter-personal skills to present to/liaise with all levels of stakeholders
Ability to work well in a matrix-based and geographically-dispersed organisation
Ability to pick up knowledge of the clients business, new technology areas, new processes/methodologies and apply these changes in the day-to-day working of the systems organisation
Ability and experience to interact with multiple technology teams and business users
Ability to prioritise own activities, work under hard deadlines
Motivated, flexible and with a can do approach
Excellent Team player with interpersonal skills and commitment to achieve team goals
Disciplined and conscientious approach

Desirable Skills

Knowledge of Investment Management industry especially particularly Investment Performance & Attribution
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and a strong team player
The successful candidate must be highly motivated, fast learner, flexible, willing to assume responsibility, and deliver quality work on time
