Job Description:

Project Designer- Interiors (Space Planning) - ( AER0002QU )

Description

The Planning Team meets with customers to ascertain their needs, and provides detailed floor plans and direction to the project management team to implement Ensure adherence to the Global Workplace Standards

Attends meetings with Business Division representatives and facilitates discussion/programming of space requirements (headcount/growth, allocations, adjacencies, special support needs)

Programming scope and development in adherence with the Global Workplace Standards

Provide the following

Test fit space plans

Detailed space plans

Furniture plans

Interior finish plans

Develops and executes migration and phasing plans for relocation and sequencing based on the physical space requirements

Establishes project goals and objectives, including but not limited to, schedule and budget parameters

Lead management reviews of major projects and coordinate overall project presentations

Coordinates and provides input to the following teams Finance, Engineering, Project Management, Cost Estimating, IT Project Management, Audio Visual, Signage vendors, Furniture dealerships, Architects and Engineers, Property Management, Move Teams, Change Management, and Communications

Qualifications

BS Architecture, BA or BS Interior Architecture / Design

6 years in the industry, specifically experience in space planning, furniture selection and finish plans

Additional relevant education may be substituted for progressive experience

Proficiency in all Adobe Suite programs

Evidence of graphic ability

Application of the following

Furniture appropriateness for different setting types and knowledge of furniture specifications

Material appropriateness for different setting types and ability to write material specifications

Lighting and color

Environmental systems and comfort

Knowledge of regulations, safety standards, and building codes

Knowledge of human-centered design

Technical skills include Revit, AutoCad, Adobe Creative Suite, Rendering software (Sketch-Up, 3ds Max, etc), Microsoft Office Suite

Ability to function as part of a team and work cooperatively toward team goals

Excellent customer service, written and verbal communication skills to interact efficiently with all levels of the organization

Qualified candidates will work well under pressure, demonstrate excellent problem solving and creativity, and be able to quickly evaluate new information and make appropriate decisions

Ability to develop & deliver business cases and presentations, project documentation to be delivered to upper management
