ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Listed below are the typical duties and responsibilities expected of an individual for the job title described in this document The items specified below are a guideline of the minimum expectations for the job title; changes will be made on a case-by-case basis for individuals who show potential to take on more responsibilities

- Manages and mentors Project Managers and Senior Project Managers

- Champions Agile practices and ensures teams are getting better at continuous learning, continuous integration, test driven development, automation and other key agile practices

- Work with the PMs to ensure the timely reporting of the time in the respective time tracking system like Oracle and Jira

- Maintains a strong partnership with PMO, Dev management, QE Management,Product Management & TechOps management to execute the different portfolios run within the Sri Lanka office

- Work with SL Management and HR on the people management aspects for SL resources such as appraisals, interviews, identify and arrange trainings etc

- Work with SL Management and participate actively on initiatives taken by them to make SL team successful

- Maintains milestone plans and costs across Program of projects

- Maintains and manages the delivery metrics and SL specfifc metrics required for reviews and any course correction

- Works with PMO finance on creation, tracking and reporting of the budgets for programs within the portfolio

- Manages internal client and stakeholders expectations

Facilitates project approval process with management, project documents and other related materials

- Coordinates and resolves issues escalated from projects running in Sri Lanka

- Assists management with creation and scheduling of the product roadmap

- Organizes, conducts, and attends meetings with product directors /managers and key stakeholders to create project plan parameters by defining clear, attainable objectives and milestones

- Lead weekly Program Capabilities core team meetings & weekly status report, Red / ad hoc reports (as needed)

- Performs risk analysis for programs and projects within the program

- Provides detailed weekly status reports on all active projects within a portfolio

- Other duties as assigned

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

- Intermediate experience or knowledge required in the following areas

- Strong ability to foster and maintain positive creative agile project teams

- Advanced experience or knowledge required in the following areas requirements analysis; agile

- Program management; Iteration and Release Planning

- Advanced knowledge of Internet technologies, concepts and applied background in Software Development Methodologies

- Strong knowledge in agile methodologies

- Ability to perform multiple tasks concurrently

- Ability to manage project managers

- Understanding of resource allocation across projects

- Excellent customer service attitude, communication skills, and interpersonal skills

- Strong ability to resolve conflict within a project team

- Excellent organizational and time management skills

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

- Strong PC skills including thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite

- Ability to make timely and sound decisions

- Ability to work efficiently in a fast paced environment

- Ability to work independently

Qualifications

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

- Individual should possess a Bachelors degree preferably in Computing or Information Technology/Management

- Individual should have 5-7 years of experience in software development projects as dev or qa engineer and with at least 5 years as Project Manager with skills and experience in Internet technologies and Project Management tools

Preferred certificates, Licenses, Registrations

PMP/ CSM/ PMI-ACP Certification are preferred
