Job Description:

Modernizing patient care environments is a complex process Stryker is dedicated to providing market-leading consultative services and support teams throughout this entire process We are looking for a talented Product Owner who will shape the future of products and contribute to product development strategy by converting product vision as agreed upon by Marketing, R&D and key stakeholders into detailed requirements for Research and Development

What will you do

Skilled communicator and decision maker who can translate vision into tangible product design and development to help the business deliver return on investment
In-depth medical market, user, and customer experience to provide product road-map guidance
Collaborate with internal and external customers to define functional and technical requirements with the ability to search out unarticulated needs and translate this into business information and governance
Uses business savvy and collaborative techniques to liaison across product lines and divisions to elicit the needs of the stakeholders to define and validate solutions that meet business goals and objectives

In addition to what is above, as Product Owner, you will

Uphold Scrum Framework, principals and ceremonies
Effectively influence stakeholders, challenging them as appropriate - we want to hear your opinions as you collaborate closely with key stakeholders
Manages expectations with internal capabilities and balances constraints
Articulate product vision and translates details in to clearly understandable user stories
Writes users stories and generate acceptance criteria; refine stories with the Scrum teams
Create Wire frames and prototypes as well as other types of artifacts that lead to high quality software releases
Focus on planning; stay 1-2 releases ahead of team; frequently groom the backlog
Manages the backlog and user stories for multiple product lines
Review and provide feedback to ensure application changes meet acceptance criteria
Plan and lead Demo Day sessions; provide input on development achievements
Continue improving you will retrospect, capture lessons learned and implement best practices
Actively support team to mitigate impediments to achieve sprint/release goals
Be the change for the organization! You will identify and coordinate transitions and drive change, helping the business learn and adopt new processes or work flows
We want you to pitch in, so at times you will assist with setup of or troubleshooting systems
Integration is important, you will ensure integrity between systems and root cause errors
Lets keep the work on track and prioritize You will support project plans, provide program risk assessment and ensure mitigation plans are identified and communicate
Work with the Scrum Master to ensure the team provides accurate estimates, effectively track and report team progress

Proficiency working between complex systems and matrixed organizations
Communication skills - effectively transfer thoughts and express ideas to individuals or groups in various leadership levels; articulate clearly and checks for understanding
Problem Solving skills Take a logical approach to address problems or identify opportunities to manage the situation at hand by drawing on leadership as well as past knowledge and experience
Time Management Proactive and forward focused to ensure objectives established, priorities set, goals identified, and timetables aligned to achieve maximum productivity
Attention to Detail Identify dependencies, mitigate risks and remove impediments which prevent your team from accomplishing objectives; monitor the detail and quality of work
Results Oriented - Achieve or surpass results against an established standard or objective
Interpersonal skills -Effectively lead and influence the team, negotiate and collaborate with cross functional teams, leaders, as well as internal and external stakeholders
Conflict resolution Ability to drive healthy discussion, seeks to understand and resolve impediments in a collaborative and constructive manner
Willingness to dedicate whatever time is necessary to learn business processes/applications

Dont forget these Qualifications

Bachelors degree in related field or equivalent
Scrum Master (CSM) and/or Certified Product Owner (CSPO) certification
4-6 years of demonstrated SCRUM or Product Owner experience in a software environment or equivalent medical experience

The skills below are a nice to have, so if you come with them GREAT, if not, lets see your passion to learn and grow!

Knowledge of medical device and/or pharmaceutical industry and basic knowledge of adjacent areas in terms of processes, organization, products and IS requirements
Working experience in other Agile methodologies XP, LEAN, PP
Understanding of PLCM - product life cycle management
Understanding of SDLC software development life cycle
Experience documenting complex processes and presenting clearly in an understandable format
Experience understanding, evaluating, prioritizing and guiding business processes change
