Our group is an umbrella organization encompassing all of the CX Cloud products at Oracle On the CX Integration team, we are now hiring Software Engineers to work on enabling our customer experience (CX) SaaS components to provide the most interactive, richest experience possible to our customers This role is critical to help build integrations and common components that are needed for various cross-CX projects As part of the development team, you will be responsible for development, testing and release of the common components You need to work very closely with other CX development teams You will also work with the product manager to understand the functional use cases, epics and user stories related to the project Come join us in working with the rest of the CX integration teams to fulfill our vision

Preferred Qualifications

Responsibilities

As a Principal Software Engineer, you will need to

Collaborate to create well-thought-out software designs

Write solid, testable and maintainable code in Java that meets the functional specifications

Be able to create RESTful web services using Java

Design and code data schemas in a relational database using Java

Build web and mobile applications using JET/VBCS

Collaborate with consumers and other team members to collect, understand and solve problems

Develop unit and integration tests using Java testing frameworks

Assist with build and deployment automation scripts

Troubleshoot and resolve performance issues

Ability to drive end-to-end feature design and architecture across teams

Ability to work with a variety of stakeholders including developers from other Oracle teams, UI designers, product managers, technical writers, marketers, technical support personnel, and customers in a cooperative but fast-paced environment

Desired Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications

Highly experienced and efficient programmer in Java

Minimum of eight years of experience programming in Java/J2EE, including experience in JSP, web applications, Servlets, Javascript and custom tag libraries

Create thorough, coherent design documents to be shared and reviewed by team and consumers

Thorough understanding of Java and related technologies be able to explain how they work down to the core

Experience with Big data technologies a plus (Spark, Kafka, Hadoop, Redis, Elastic Search, etc)

Experience writing well-maintainable RESTful web services

Good knowledge of SQL and RDBMS database design and JDBC

Real experience with testing, code review, provisioning (Chef/Ansible/etc) frameworks

Have spent time as part of an agile development team

8 years of industry experience

BS/MS in computer science or related field
