Role

Responsible for designing, creating and preparing business reporting, strategic planning and performance analysis for the business in agreement with GLAS Executive Management & produce insights and recommendation

Scope

Global scope with specific business / geo responsibility

Report to Business Planning Director

Responsibilities

Create and maintain business analysis that enables the GLAS organization to manage, control, report on and understand its business

Provide executive leaders with financial models to assist with fiscal operating planning
Create and present business analytics, budgeting, financial, attrition and modeling information
Research, model and propose future GLAS business performance planning and trends to identify areas of business opportunity / business risk and drive strategic executive decision making
Create, analyze and distribute business weekly, monthly, quarterly standard business reporting to provide management with insights into business performance
Build ad hoc reports utilizing various business intelligence tools in response to business queries and provide narrative
Improve efficiency by identifying process bottlenecks and analyzing key performance indicators, to optimize and drive business agility
Understand business data and create exploratory data analysis to navigate a dataset to determine broad conclusions based on initial appraisals and deliver insight to create business impact
Organize and wrangle large datasets to provide actionable intelligence from them, including finding innovative ways to combine fields of data that dont naturally mesh together Use algorithms and programming to efficiently go through large datasets and apply treatments, filters and conditions
Build in-depth knowledge of Oracle internal data sources, and customer install base and Finance systems
Act as a Business Partner to a GLAS business unit
Work cross line of business to build strong collaboration and network of key stakeholders in GLAS, Finance, SI
Participate to UAT testing if any system enhancements
Knowledge management, process documentation, business communication related to Business Planning
Completion of analytical projects within timelines and quality standards that support GLAS global objectives
Operating in line with Oracles processes/procedures
Personal development

Qualification

BA/BS degree in MIS, Business Administration, Finance, Legal or Accounting; Applied Maths, Statistics
5-8 years experience in related field involving quantitative data analysis to solve problems

Competencies

Advanced capability of Business Intelligence analytic tools

Advanced VBA Excel background and Python knowledge

Advanced spreadsheet capability

Advanced proficiency with MS Excel

Advances proficiency with PPT

Ability to collect data from all kinds of different sources, from web APIs, to internal database

Advance SQL

Knowledge of Hadoop, R

Technical Writing experience a plus

Effective communication skills including at Executive level

Ability to manage sensitive/confidential information appropriately

Attention to detail is critical

Fluent English, other languages depending on region

Provides programs to improve operational efficiency, consistency, and compliance in support of the organization*s financial and tactical business objectives Provides business practices and processes Develops, communicates, and trains the organization on business practices and processes

Serve as a liaison with other divisions such as Finance, Contracts, HR, Legal, Shared Services, Accounts Receivable, Purchasing, and Risk Management in an effort to ensure accurate and timely transaction processing Collect, input, verify, correct, and analyze data to measure key performance indicator actual versus business objectives Provide updates to management regarding budget to actual, informing them of deviations and opportunities Provide management with economic impact and compliance issues surrounding key business decisions and/or deals Communicate Oracle Business Practices to the organization and monitor process and approvals for full compliance Drive implementation of new processes and procedures

Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization Ability to collect, organize, and display data in spreadsheet format Follow-through skills necessary to get information from internal and third parties and have data errors/omissions corrected For this, relationship management skills strongly desired Strong written and verbal communication skills 8 plus years relevant work experience
