The Advanced Customer Support (ACS) is a unit within the Oracles Customer Service Organization that establishes long-term relationships with many of Oracles largest customers through annuity-based service contracts ACS provides value-added services that go well beyond the standard Customer Support to supply fully managed applications services, technical expertise, advisory services, risk mitigation, and higher Support levels both in traditional on-premises environments as well as in Oracle Cloud environments ie Cloud Applications (SaaS) and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)

The primary role of the Pre-Sales Solutions Director is to lead a team of Pre-Sales Solutions Managers and support the sales team to grow new revenue across the ACS business unit Customers would include both public and commercial accounts and span across strategic and general customers

SCOPE
Direct a team of Pre-Sales Solution Managers to engage on the activities of virtual sales team
Partner with other Lines of Business (LOBs) in individual opportunities and general cross-line-of-business initiatives
Work with the direct reports who work with ACS Sales Representatives and ACS Business/Sales Operations to
- Support account sales strategy from solution perspective
- Qualify complex opportunities
- Build and articulate compelling ACS service solutions that address identified customer needs
- Ensure the risks and costs associated with each ACS service proposition are fully understood and addressed
- Assist in closing opportunities in a timely manner
Work with the ACS Sales Management to
- Prioritise opportunity coverage of the team
- Build business strategy and take action items for the team
Work with ACS Subject Matter Experts and Global Risk Management to
- Continuously improve quality of the direct reports solution outputs

RESPONSIBILITIES
To sell Oracle Services Solutions alongside the team and the sales team
Applies consultative selling techniques to advance opportunities
Works with customer Information Technology (IT), Account Intelligence, ACS management and sales team to develop an accurate understanding of business needs and related issues
Effectively communicates with customer from technical level to C- level
Drives proposals, presentations, and other customer communications
Effectively communicates and articulates the details of the proposed customer solution
Establishes the validity of a solution and its components with both short and long-term implications when proposing service solutions
Collaborates effectively (internally and externally) with others to ensure effective solution development and design
Works proactively and builds relationships with other lines of business
Anticipates and plans for competitive threats, customer objections and internal obstacles
Works with delivery to ensure a smooth transition from sales to delivery
Works with disparate groups including, but not limited to, sales, delivery, customers, risk management, business development, product management
Opportunity progress reporting/tracking for Business Management
Ability to navigate internal tools and process providing required assistance to the team

SKILLS
Domain expertise
- Oracle application, platform and infrastructure product, both On-Premise and Cloud essential
- IT Enterprise Architecture highly desirable
