Urban Health Project PAHAL (Partnerships for Affordable Healthcare Access and Longevity)

PAHAL is USAID and IPE Globals flagship innovative financing platform to promote health financing models and provide catalytic support to social enterprises for improving access to affordable and quality healthcare solutions for the urban poor PAHAL is providing technical assistance, business and financial advisory, and support towards access to markets as well as capital, to select private sector Inclusive Business Models (IBMs), which are working to improve access to affordable and quality healthcare to the urban base of pyramid (BoP) population One of the key components is providing capital advisory to scalable healthcare-focused social enterprises (IBMs) serving the urban BoP population and helping them raise growth capital (debt, equity or grants)

As part of the overall project plan, PAHAL is also focused at creating Innovative financing mechanisms which support social enterprises including curating a Social Impact Bond, Social Impact Fund and innovative financial products which ultimately lead to bringing down out of pocket expenses (OOPE) for BoP population IPE Global is looking for motivated young professionals who are passionate and committed to creating positive developmental impact for the society



Essential Duties/Responsibilities

The Manager - Inclusive Business position is key to the program in supporting the IBMs in scaling up and need in depth knowledge of healthcare sector and financing/investments The primary responsibility of the Manager Inclusive business will include, but not limited to

Key Responsibilities

Meet and exceed fundraising goals as communicated for the Project
Work collaboratively with the Project Director and Senior Expert Advisory on following up with Hot Prospects in closing out the fundraising process
Actively manage a pipeline and opportunities for long-term success
Participate in the identification of deal sourcing targets
Financial assessments of partners and program funding requirements to identify need for raising capital
S/he will focus on expanding relationships with the CSR ecosystem with a special focus on Corporations, Corporate/Promoter led Foundations, Industry Associations, Public
Sector Enterprises and governments for fund raising and strategic partnerships benefiting the Pahals current programs
Mission-driven relationship development/business development including but not limited to Fundraising
Pro-actively establish relationship with CSRs/ donor organizations to solicit funding and other strategic tie-ups with the NGO
Work with the Project Director and Senior Expert Advisory on strategic funding issues, develop donor plans and donor influencing in close cooperation with other team members
Make representational and fund related visits across the country program and effectively contribute in program development and proposals
Ensure a robust and health pipeline of prospects at all time

Qualification and Experience

Masters or higher degree in areas of Business Administration/Management, Health Management or other similar educational achievements
Minimum of 8-10 years progressively responsible work experience a dynamic work environment
Previous work or substantial knowledge in health businesses, Inclusive Business fields will be considered as strong assets
Background in private sector, developing market-based partnerships, entrepreneurial mind-set, risk-taker and strong business acumen Experience in business advisory would be considered as an advantage
Entrepreneurial experience is desirable
Understanding of business processes, finance, HR, supply chain and distribution is an added advantage
Extensive knowledge of and networks with various health sector actors, various multi- and bi-lateral donors and business houses
Knowledge of regional or global sustainability topics, trends and opportunities is important

Demonstrated experience in managing of day-to-day aspects of client relationships, fundraising and transactions with superior attention to detail and quality deliverables

Excellent writing and presentation skills
Ability to work effectively and efficiently in multi-cultural and multi-ethnic teams
