We have multiple opportunities for you to apply your knowledge to the recovery, development and processing of petroleum as well as gain insight into how Petroleum Engineering functions across our business units

You will use your expertise to

• Provide technical support to petroleum engineers in data analytics, engineering design and project management activities

• Participate in developing solutions to technical issues and verifying the implementation of these solutions

• Analyze and review daily production data for accuracy and input into data management systems and you will identify optimization opportunities

• Prepare and present summary reports, performance metrics reports, graphical representation and presentations as required

Must-haves (minimum requirements)

• Current enrollment in a formal co-op or internship program in 3rd or 4th year Petroleum Engineering at an accredited post-secondary institution, and returning to full-time studies after the work term

• A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record

Preference for

• Exceptional computer skills with intermediate to advanced proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel

• A deep understanding of oil and gas production and processing

• Dynamic written and verbal communication, administration and organizational skills

• A continuous improvement mindset and you are able to seek greater knowledge and understanding of the systems, process and hazards in the workplace

• A zero-tolerance for shortcuts, and if the procedure is incorrect, you fix it

Where you’ll be working, your work schedule, and other meaningful information

• You will be based in our Calgary, Edmonton, Fort McMurray or Fort Hills locations

• This is an 8 – 12 month work term, from January 2020 – December 2020

• Some of these positions have been identified as safety sensitive

• Relocation support will be provided if approved for the position, we offer highly competitive housing assistance to eligible candidates 

• Your work schedule will be determined based on the position requirements
