The Team

The Payroll team consists of 16 Pension Payroll Administrators, Senior Pension Payroll Administrators and Payroll Team Lead Mostly responsible for their own Pension Schemes however, we cross train and swap schemes around so we always have support and cover in times of absence or additional work load In total we pay roughly 900 pension schemes and 300,000 pensioners monthly, ranging from schemes with 1 member in, to schemes with over 40,000 members We have nearly 300 PAYE references which we reconcile monthly

Reporting to the Payroll Team Manager, you will be working as part of a successful team servicing a large number of pensioners across the UK and overseas It is an open plan office and you will also be working with other teams based in Leatherhead, Surrey and Mumbai, India The team is encouraged to work collaboratively and training will be provided

In this role you will be

Making updates to records in accordance with SLAs
Processing updates/Deaths/New Pensioners/Beneficiaries in accordance with SLAs
Taking responsibility for ensuring outstanding processes are completed in line with cut off schedule
Ensuring payroll checklists are completed and signed off (authorised) by the required date
Processing HMRC tax code amendments prior to payroll processing
Engaging/Liaising with accounts to ensure returned payments are completed within agreed timescales
Ensuring PAYE reconciliations are produced and passed to Team Manager for sign off in accordance with agreed timescales
Dealing with queries from the HMRC
Cross team working both within payroll and across other departments

Qualifications Required As this role will be dealing with payroll administration, its important that you consider the following before submitting your application

Intermediate Excel Skills
