JOB SUMMARY

This person will be responsible for carrying out software patch management related activities in Oracle eBS and Database

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Perform technical and functional impact analysis for Application and Database patches requested by Application Support Group (ASG) and project teams
Proactively identify required security patches and tech stack upgrades for continued compliance
Plan and coordinate various activities as per defined process (Stage Gate and OPR process) to promote patches eventually to Production environment These activities include
Impact Analysis
Define Mandatory and Suggested Test Cases
Patch Scheduling

Work with DBA team to help resolve issues encountered during patch application, using both traditional and OLP (Online Patching) method
Participate and coordinate with vendor partners to apply ATG rollups

SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS, AND EXPERIENCE

Technical

5-10 years of overall IT experience with 4 years of hands on as Oracle DBA
Hands on experience of applying application (eBS R12 or 11i) and database patches
Strong analytical and impact analysis skills
Proficient in PL/SQL, SQL, ability to troubleshoot technical issues and problem-solving skills
Knowledge of Java, C would be a plus
Experience in Oracle upgrade would be plus
