Job Summary

Tranes NY/NJ district is looking for a District VRF / Ductless Sales and Operations Leader to join our team In this new and exciting opportunity, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining long-term customer relationships and maximizing account penetration and customer retention with contractor and self-servicing accounts Sales responsibilities include all the processes and functions required for obtaining inside/outside sales Operations responsibilities include tactical post sale support, contractor and internal associate training, and ensuring customer satisfaction

Responsibilities

Develop and grow a team that is highly engaged, has a winning culture mindset focused on creating a premier customer experience
Develop and lead team of sales and operations members Set team vision and create high-performing teams, accountable for the execution of the district business plan
Provide the tools, environment, and opportunity for associates to develop; resulting in an empowered and productive team
Ensures compliance of all, environment health and safety, quality standards, and sales and operations processes required for effective and efficient execution of business objectives and customer satisfaction
Foster channel partnership with Trane/JV (Joint Venture) teams and Trane NY/NJ District
Lead effort to ensure effective team execution and communication through review meetings, key metrics, technical excellence, customer relations, and talent acquisition
Utilize HR resources and processes to effectively work with team to establish goals, manage overall performance management, and ongoing development
Maintains constant awareness of markets, competitor activities and problems within assigned area; recognizes trends that develop, makes appropriate recommendations as required including footprint
Lead operational excellence across district utilizing BOS tools and methodologies

Qualifications

Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering, business or equivalent from four-year college or university
7 years experience in HVAC sales or equivalent combination of education and experience
3 Years experience leading a team of Sales Professionals
Sandler Sales or Consultative Selling experience
Working knowledge of all facets of construction including mechanical, electrical, plumbing systems, etc preferred
Passion and excitement around VRF/Ductless and desire to continually learn is required
Experience with Lean / Operational Excellence
Passion for training / developing others
Must have ability to partner and team well with others
Must be comfortable interfacing with customers and have excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong skills in Microsoft Office products (eg Word, Excel, Access, Outlook)
Must be able to travel regularly throughout the NY/NJ District
Must possess a valid drivers license for a minimum of 12 months, with no major or frequent traffic violations including, but not limited to
DUI in the previous 5 years
Hit & Run, License Suspension, Reckless / Careless Driving or multiple smaller infractions or preventable collisions in the previous 3 years
