Summary of Responsibilities

Reporting to the Front Office Manager, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following

The Duties below, and Other duties as assigned by management
Provide warm, sincere and engaging service that follows the service essentials, ensuring Guests feel valued
Treat each and every Guest as a unique individual, personalizing the interaction(s) with thoughtful and personal touches
Resolve Guest problems and never say no without offering an alternative OWN the follow-up to ensure the problem is resolved, and be that guests point of contact
Be an ambassador for the Brand, Hotel, Community and Colleagues
Be guided by and exhibit Fairmont core values; respect, integrity, teamwork, accountability & excellence
Be aware of, support and ensure all health and safety policies, environmental policies & evacuation procedures including updates are adhered to
Follow and deliver all Leading Quality Assurance Standards for your position
Ensure a safe, clean hotel at all times and take ownership for your area
Adhere to grooming policies to ensure a professional appearance is always maintained
Answer guest inquiries regarding Calgary and the hotel services and facilities
Assist guests with all luggage and transportation needs
Answer incoming calls from guest in-house guest and non-in-house guest within 3 rings
Valet park and retrieve vehicles in a safe and efficient manner
Responsible for appearance of the hotel lobby to ensure a warm and welcoming guest experience
Communicate with next shift to ensure smooth transition and completion of duties
Adherence to all Health & Safety responsibilities as it pertains to hotel emergencies, fire alarms and accidents
Responsible for overnight security duties of hotel
MUST have a passion for the delivery of OUTSTANDING guest service

Qualifications

Must have a passion for the delivery of OUTSTANDING guest service
Must provide a drivers abstract and drivers license; must have ability to drive standard transmission
Must be in excellent physical condition and able to lift heavy items; ability to work in varied weather conditions
Must have a flexible schedule
Excellent communication skills, advanced problem solving abilities and be highly responsible and reliable
Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced team environment
Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
Previous Supervisory experience preferred; Guest Services or customer related experience an asset
Post Secondary education in hospitality an asset
Computer literate in MS Word and Property Manager an asset

Physical Aspects of Position ( include but are not limited to)

Must be in excellent physical condition and able to lift heavy items; ability to work in varied weather conditions
Must have a flexible schedule

Hourly Rate $2094 per hour to start, $2194 full rate

Visa Requirements Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
