Regional Sales Manager (Field Sales) - Sales Manager - Area Sales Manager

- Looking for business development / field sales managers for a funded healthcare education technology start-up You will set up and manage a regional sales team that will be the face of the company to thousands of young doctors and students across the country

- You will also evaluate performance and find new opportunities for growth and business development

- The ideal candidate is an existing field sales manager with 2 years team management experience and 4-6 years overall experience Previous experience with higher education or education technology products is preferred

Roles and Responsibilities

Sales strategy

- Own the sales strategy and targets for your region, making continuous improvements based on performance

Execution

- Execute the field sales plan and manage all day-to-day requirements of field sales team including hiring, training, travel & logistics

Events

- Evaluate events suitable for participation, negotiate with event organisers for deliverables and ensure all event objectives are met

Marketing Ensure availability of marketing collateral across all locations

Lead collection Ensure proper collection and handling of generated leads by your reporters

Lead management Manage lead follow-up and lifecycle, ensure lead tracking and conversion maximisation

Reporting Generate weekly & monthly reports of sales performance for your region

Remuneration Manage incentive programmes to reward & motivate sales team members in your region

Opportunities Explore new avenues of creating awareness & conversion and run regular experiments

Team relationship

- Assist other team members and company in jointly achieving revenue targets and running awareness campaigns This is a challenging role that involves close interaction with field sales executives and management team Estimated travel is 25-50% of month

Note This role involves extensive travel across the city, state, and country

Desired Skill Set

- MBA preferred, but education no bar

- Comfortable with travel in your region and to other parts of the country (preferred) experience with managing distributed teams across locations

- Ability take ownership, work independently and closely with senior stakeholders

- Strong communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills

- Experience with making reports and presentations to management

- Multi-cultural (preferred) / can speak multiple languages
