Job Description:

In this role, you will partner with the Country General Manager and provide leadership and support to the country business teams in the areas of Supply Chain, Logistics & Distribution and Warehouse Management to drive sustained profitable business growth for the OPCO in India The incumbent will need to focus on the bigger picture, long term results and also ensure day to day execution of the right actions (setting up effective processes and practise as required) on time in a compliant manner with help of his /her team

Indicative Key Responsibility Areas

  • Create and own the monthly, quarterly and annual supply chain action plans for the OpCo in India

  • Improve profitability of business by monthly analysis of cost and inventory variances Use the analyses to lead initiatives/ improvement processes of Supply chain practices, Warehouse management, routing , stocking and other actions

  • Build and lead the team and processes for logistics and distribution of products (both capital and consumables)

  • Review agreements with strategic partners, vendors and Global manufacturing plants to ensure On Time Delivery ( OTD) of all goods and meeting customer requirements at the least possible costs within agreed timelines

  • Provide advisory and consultative support to team on all Supply Chain and Logistics related areas including policies and other compliance requirements

  • Work closely with the OPCO Global and Danaher India Supply Chain teams to ensure upkeep of the highest financial integrity standards while conducting business Ensure compliance requirements for all internal and external stakeholders

  • Other duties as assigned by leadership


  • Bachelors Degree (or equivalent) required, MBA is preferred, with specialisation in Supply Chain / Operations (former preferable)

  • 8 -10 years of experience in Supply Chain Leadership roles, with at least 3-5 years of people management experience in a multi-national company

  • (Leaders who have experience in transactional /operational actions in early part of their career and experience in working closely with Global and cross functional teams in a matrix environment in later part of their career would be ideal)


  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft applications (Excel, Word and PowerPoint)

  • Working knowledge of Supply Chain / Inventory Management systems like ERP/ SAP others

  • Excellent analytical, problem solving, presentation and communication skills

  • Excellent knowledge of forecasting techniques

  • Extremely numerate

Business / Personal

  • Extensive experience in financial forecasting Demand and modelling supply chain scenarios

  • Knowledge of the documentation required for SCM activities in India is preferred

  • High on integrity, proactive, high-energy, self-motivated team player capable of delivering on multiple initiatives

  • Comfortable working with multi-functional teams within the Organization

  • Ability to deal with ambiguity and bring clarity / structure

  • Ability to manage peak work loads during month ends / quarter ends

  • Ability to push back / challenge status quo

  • Ability to take constructive feedback and be on a continuous improvement mode
