As a member of this team, you will be a self-driven software professional who is motivated and eager to learn and grow as part of a team responsible for the Administration, Development and Maintenance of Atlassian Tools - Jira Service Desk, Jira and Confluence within VMware You will be managing the entire application lifecycle by working with vendor premier support and Technical account managers in Atlassian You need to collaborate with leaders and individuals across all business units to fulfill their tooling requirements across - Jira Service Desk, Jira and Confluence You will be working with Global teams to collaborate and deliver organizational objectives towards ensuring highest availability, performance and usability standards You will be also required to work with partner teams in infrastructure, network, storage, database etc to fulfill compliance and best practices to accomplish a world-class Atlassian Tools deployment architecture and service

You will be involved in Administration, Maintenance and Development tasks by providing technical expertise across Atlassian tools, Database and Atlassian Plugin ecosystems
Application administration and development

Minimum 4 years of experience in Administration and maintenance
Minimum 2 years of experience in development of plugins, monitoring scripts and automated self-remediation
Expert level tool administration knowledge on JIRA, and proficiency in Atlassian tool suite
Perform JIRA, JIRA ServiceDesk and Confluence administration, creation and management of custom, complex projects, workflows, security schemes, custom fields, dashboards and reports configurations
Lead minor and major JIRA/Confluence upgrades (including communications), schedule and coordinate maintenance, and lead performance tuning/scaling
Perform Migrations of Projects in Jira and Migrations of spaces in Confluence
Install, manage and administer Jira add-ons, plugins, and extensions
Understand and Configure integrations with 3rd party applications and internal tools as necessary
Conduct training for employees and new hires on JIRA and Confluence regarding how to use the tools, new functionality, etc
Create, maintain and support dashboards and advanced filters for end users reporting capabilities
Provide User Management and grant user permissions in accordance with role given by the company
Create and maintain detailed technical and user facing documentation
Resolve issues as they arise with JIRA Projects and Confluence in coordination with other admins, partner teams, Atlassian premier support and TAMs
Proficient in understanding and adapting JQL
Basic programming knowledge with an understanding of Java, Python or any scripting technologies
Proficient in Project Setups, Components, JIRA Reporting, Report Filters and Dashboard creation
Used Continuous Integration tools like GIT
Should be comfortable with IDE tools like Jdev/eclipse/SQL developer

Server-side administration

Hands-on Experience with hosted Linux environments and working with partner Teams (infrastructure, network etc)
Proficiency in understanding Jira/Confluence logs and troubleshooting problems at all layers - application, web-server and database
Ensure that necessary system backups are performed, and storage rotation of backups is accomplished
Very good understanding of MySQL Database and basic administration of database
Very good understanding of Jira/Confluence Data center software - installation, configuration files and administration
Good understanding of load-balancers and data-center deployment of Jira and Confluence
Good understanding of JVM configurations, apache logs and other related details
Good understanding of SSO, Active Directory and SSL and certificates in context of Jira/Confluence apps

Required Skills

Expert in Administration of Jira Service Desk, Jira and Confluence
Strong understanding about Jira and Confluence APIs and Plugin ecosystem
Good hands-on knowledge about MySQL Database and clustering
Strong Linux basic administration skills
Exposure and experience in Python and Shell scripting

Preferred Skills

Experience / understanding in Groovy Scripting
Good to know Plugin development (Java)
Nice to have knowledge about Containers Kubernetes
Nice to have Python APIs development experience and Database SQL programming experience
