Essential Job Functions

The position will be responsible for developing and maintaining products and options, standard bill of materials and drawings for gas turbine packages, and the development and integration of mechanical auxiliary systems
Additionally, the position will serve as an on customer site coordinator With responsibilities of gathering work requirements, gathering engineering change requests, gathering inputs to execute work, coordinate work split with onshore and offshore teams, facilitate reviews and meetings, and look for additional opportunities for customer support
Investigating and providing technical leadership for engineering change requests and prepare final redline markups required to implement design changes
Assembly & detail design of gas turbine packaging accessories systems
Design of turbine lube oil skid, generator lube oil and jacking oil skid
Piping and equipment design of various gas turbine packaging accessories systems
Implement design changes on the gas turbine accessory systems and evaluate impact of change on system
Making design changes/validating/making modifications to flow and instrumentation diagram drawings for all gas turbine packaging accessories systems
Experience in making assembly drawings with respect to P&ID/general arrangement drawings
Knowledge of P&ID parts, Instruments/valves selections
Design of piping spools/piping assembly drawings per standards ASME B311, B165
Application and selection of piping/tubing fittings, piping material selection, hoses depending on pressure/temperature rating & bending radius
Selection of materials and bought out components for all assembly drawings related to gas turbine package
Exposure to electrical interfaces, cabinets, cable and cable trays
Experience in preparation of structural and enclosure fabrication & assembly drawings Knowledge of structural material and insulation material selection
Work with three/two-dimensional CAD designs to create layouts and associated assembly and fabrication drawings including base/enclosure drawings; engine mount drawings; and mechanical general arrangements drawings
Verify that drawings meet drafting practices/ANSI standard references (ASME Y14 series), GD&T or surface finish symbols (ASME Y1436M), and weld symbols (Per AWS D11Ensure system and materials compliance per industry standards and client practices, and apply QuESTs design practices to arrive at product standardization and improve design quality
The position will also coordinate with stakeholders and cross-functional teams; lead design reviews and tollgate presentations to ensure products meet customer specifications; and develop technical procedures, product bulletins, and gas turbine engine installation/removal procedures

Position requires a Bachelors or Masters degree (or foreign equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering with 5-10 years Power Generation Industry experience
3 to 5 years of relevant experience in mechanical engineering of Gas turbine packages and accessory systems
Experience must involve detailed knowledge of engineering codes and standards in the US and familiarity with the equivalent European Codes (ASME, API, PED, ISO);
Knowledge of industry standard CE/ATEX/UL/FM/CSA required for system compliance;
Knowledge of industry standard ASTM/AISC/AISI required for material compliance;
Knowledge of Inventor toolset Exposure to AutoCAD and Unigraphics preferred; and demonstrated ability to handle schedule and business-critical project deadlines

Physical Requirements & Work Environment

Mostly Office Environments, Occasional Shop Floor involvement On site at customer facility
Substantial amounts of telephone and computer work
Heavily Regulated Industries with strict adherence to procedures
Flexibility to meet business deadlines by staying late or arriving early
Typical 8 hour days plus lunch / 40 hour weeks / core (required) hours are 9 AM to 4 PM
Ability to use personal transportation to visit customer locations
Due to the nature of the work, all candidates must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident
