Materiel Control Clerk ( PEN001737 )



The Materiel Control Clerk (MCC) is responsible for the procurement of parts, tool/shop equipment accountability, and HAZMAT compliance This position reports to the Materiel Control Supervisor


Responsible for properly managing the warehouse and supply chain by complying with best practices and procedures for the procurement and issuance of replacement parts and stock

Shall perform item and monetary accounting and inventory stock control

Shall compute requirements, determine allowance, research, and identify supplies and equipment requirements

Shall perform operations involved in storage, inspection, identification, and receipt of property and shall be responsible for facility safety and security

Shall conduct inventories and operate automated equipment, special purpose government vehicles, and material handling equipment

Shall complete local parts purchase through ICOPARS in accordance with all governing directives

Work in coordination with the HAZMAT program manager to ensure al shops have current HAZMAT inventories and that their storage and disposal areas and procedures are in compliance

Responsible for following a comprehensive safety program in compliance with OSHA and United States Air Force (USAF) requirements

Responsible for maintaining a safe, clean, sanitary, healthy, presentable, professional atmosphere, free of dust, clutter and trash in all working facilities and areas

Shall perform as supplemental personnel in all scopes of work such as vehicle operations, materiel control, and fleet management as needed

Responsible for proper utilization and safeguarding of all government and contractor provided property (eg, to include government facilities, equipment and tools)

Responsible for precise execution of company time reporting procedures and accurate completion of timesheet

Performs other duties as assigned


Utilizes a variety of shop tools and other general office equipment May be exposed to potentially hazardous conditions that require wear of hard hats, gloves, steel toed boots, hearing protection, safety glasses and other personal protection equipment (PPE) such as flak vest and Kevlar helmet; may be required to push, pull and lift heavy equipment Must comply with OSHA, EPA, Fire Regulations and published Company work rules


Extensive interaction with the government customer is required Work is generally conducted in a shop environment However, duties may involve the conduct of work in the out-of-doors area with a potential exposure to extreme climatic conditions such as, exposure to heat, cold, dust, and noise Overtime and shift work may be required depending on contractual needs Employee must comply with all Federal, State and Local regulations and published Company work rules as well as written instructions Task specific work environment training will be provided as required Must be prepared to function in a wartime environment to support U S interests 100 PERCENT Overseas Assignment


Work will require lifting up to 50 lbs, team lifting up to 100 lbs, stooping, climbing, prolonged standing, prolonged sitting, and working with or in areas where a potential could exist for exposure to physical, chemical, or biological agents



Education/Certifications One year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required

High school diploma or equivalent

Must have knowledge of US Military vehicles and equipment, OSHA, ANSI, ASME, military regulations standards, and OEM requirements

Must possess 4k thru 10k forklift experience

Must have a current, valid U S Passport and U S Drivers License, prefer a CDLA license

Must be capable of obtaining a flight line drivers license

Must have and be capable of maintaining a valid U S SECRET Security Clearance prior to deployment

Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English fluently

Must have color vision

Must be able to pass employment and deployment qualification requirements that include psychological, medical, dental, drug testing, background checks, etc

Candidates must successfully complete both online and hands on CBRN (chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear) defense training Training includes the successful fit testing of DoD provided protective gear


Shall have a minimum of five (5) years of experience in functions such as supply policies and procedures, Air Force property accounting, stock and inventory control, accountability and responsibility, principles of property accounting through manual or automated data processing (ADP), storage methods, warehouse control (receipt, issue, and disposal), materiel handling techniques, methods of preparing and maintaining supply records, manual and automated supply accounting systems, logistics principles and interactions (supply, maintenance, transportation, and procurement) such as that of an AFSC 2S071


Must have functional knowledge of ICOPARS

Prefer functional knowledge of OLVIMS, DPAS, ETIMS, JCALS and CMMS systems as well

Good knowledge of Microsoft programs such as Excel, Word, and Power Point

Able and willing to work periods of long hours to meet mission requirements

Military experience in a contingency environment and knowledge and experience working with government contracts preferred
