Description

The CBS MDM Portfolio Management Lead is responsible for successfully bringing projects from concept to completion including the effective transition of master data activities out of business units during migrations, effective deployments execution and effective implementation of other projects involving MDM service catalog In all cases, working to integrate the global portfolio of MDM projects seeking to reduce or eliminate negative impact to the customer and reduce performance dips following go live/transition to steady state operations

This position is accountable for the integration and the execution of all project-related work involving the Master Data Maintenance function and responsible to handing over activities to the regional Operations teams It includes oversight of the alignment of timelines, process mapping, solution design and construction, testing, training, implementation, stabilization, and project closing, of all initiatives within the Functions portfolio This role is also responsible for maintaining process integrity and standardization within the region as per Global accepted standards and service taxonomy

This position requires an experienced leader who can partner effectively with all levels of the organization, influence others, drive results, proactively identify and resolve problems, and make challenging decisions It also requires proficient knowledge in master data objects and portfolio management to be utilized to work closely with partners, including but not limited to business unit and function customers, representatives, and third-party providers Gain solid understanding of the master data processes taking place in the business units Develop accurate steady state estimates, working with both the business unit and operational teams to create frameworks accordingly Drive the implementation of additional automation, if needed Identify gaps and propose improvements Ensure that the business unit staff are prepared through training, etc, to reduce and eliminate issues after going live

Principal Accountabilities

15 PERCENT PROJECT LEADERSHIP

Provide leadership for MDM process activities across implementations and migrations

Provides coaching and/or training to more senior members of the team, including coaching Cargill core values

May participate in selection of employees and provide input on plans for future workforce needs

Provides guidance and leadership to Regional Project Integration Leads and Sr Project Specialist and acts as an escalation point for MDM functional process and procedures related to project frameworks

25 PERCENT PROJECT PLANNING

Build functional knowledge, as needed, within MDM

Defines program objectives and scope utilizing expert knowledge of project management practices and procedures

Accountable for development of the Integrated Project Plan for each project within the program

Participate actively in Go Live and Post Go Live by providing functional/technical expertise as well as issue identification, escalation, and resolution

Participate in localized process development, communication, training (development of training, localization of training & training delivery) and implementation for process designs within area of scope

25 PERCENT PROJECT EXECUTION

Execute in BU/Function training around MDM processes

This role is responsible for designing, building and aligning the framework of processes with the BUs and functions which includes metrics, measures, roles & responsibilities, technology, participants, etc

Ensure consistency of approach across multiple deployments

Escalate risks and issues as appropriate

Review and provide feedback and guidance on the project scope and objectives

Translates and analyzes variances from the project plan, researches alternatives, and implements the preferred/approved recommendations

Identifies, reviews, and plans portfolio demand needs for data and business analytics initiatives and ensures that resource capacity is allocated according to portfolio demands

Partners with the training/education of data management and master data maintenance process and solution users as needed

Participates in data management & business intelligence solution development, communication, training and implementations

Provides technical expertise to the work plan, schedule, budget and required personnel for complex solution deployments

25 PERCENT PROJECT CONTROL

Enable integration of complex sub-process areas, including data, change management/education, and security, by collaborating across teams and solving problems before they arise in production

Consult on volume projections and utilize experience to influence accuracy of estimates

Defines project objectives and scope for workstream activities in the data management and business intelligence area to ensure that project objectives are delivered on time, on budget and within scope

10 PERCENT BUSINESS RESULTS

Bring stakeholders along on the change journey at the appropriate pace to ensure successful execution of the plan

Engage with customers and other stakeholder groups, as necessary, to foster productive relationships and move forward through the change journey

Serve as Data Process and Project liaison to the Businesses, MDM and other Functions

Address questions about charges for master data management

Provide consulting and training to customers, stakeholders and partners to increase the value of our services to them

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

Bachelors Degree (10 years) in IT or Finance

10 years of IT, Finance and business / industry work experience

6 years Project Management experience

Experience in Service introduction

Experience with business process and information technology project integration

Large project deployment experience

Experience in SAP Data Deployment

Experience in transitions of work to third parties and/or shared services

Extreme attention to detail

Excellent customer service skills and focus on the customer

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Excellent teamwork and people skills, positive attitude, excellent organizational skills and follow-up, strong sense of urgency and orientation to results

Strong time management skills

Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills

Ability and willingness to act independently and take initiative

Excellent decision-making and problem-solving skills

Strong desire and ability to learn new skills

Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to internal controls

Broad knowledge in multiple master data domains

Travel work 20 PERCENT

Fluent English C1

Preferred Qualifications

Six Sigma /Black Belt /Scrum/ PMP certification

Ability to explain work to multiple levels of the organization to influence change, highlight value and uncover new ways of working

Master Data knowledge (customer, vendor, material and Finance)
