Cambridge University Press (a global publishing company based in the UK) has recently set up India Operations Centre ( IOC ) at Tech Mahindras facility in Hyderabad The staff based in the IOC work as integrated members of global teams that develop and publish (both in print and digital formats), a wide variety of English Language Teaching ( ELT ) and Education materials along with Academic books and journals A wide range of roles (spanning Editorial, Production, Marketing and Supply Chain Fulfillment) are being created and we are currently seeking suitably qualified and experienced team members from publishing as well as non-publishing backgrounds SUMMARY OF POST This is a full-time position providing valuable marketing and administrative support to a team of Marketing Executives and Associates As well as providing a support structure for the existing Marketing team, the holder will be required to work under their own initiative on marketing campaigns and projects at the direction of the Marketing Manager Key responsibilities include Marketing Campaigns Supporting and executing marketing campaigns to ensure products reach their target markets and sales targets are met To include email marketing, blog posts, SEO, social media, content marketing, brand marketing, advertising, print marketing including direct mail, and management of stands at key conferences and society events Assisting the marketing team with reporting on marketing campaigns through use of campaign analytics and metrics Support key internal and external business stakeholders on product and brand development and publishing strategies Produce marketing collateral including flyers and catalogues Conferences and events Assist with conference organisation, including preparing and compiling marketing materials Generation of database flyers for author events and conferences as required Website Maintenance of the Cambridge University Press Academic website, including the creation of promotional offers and feature pages Working with website and platform technologies teams to develop and update academic web pages Administration responsibilities Loading review quotes to marketing systems Maintaining core marketing databases and systems, and identifying opportunities to streamline processes and workflows Responding to queries from internal and external contacts, and providing information where required Responding to and processing review copy requests Maintaining and raising purchase orders and creating new records using finance system Conduct market research to inform future development of the list and marketing strategy CRM Maintenance according to best practise and data governance policy Engage in contact list-building activities to grow internal database of potential customers Author support responsibilities Responding to author queries and providing information where requested Producing information for authors as required Assisting with preparation of materials for author events and book launches Support with the production of author features including video interviews and web pages Other Managing relationships with key external stakeholders, including authors and publishing partners, to support a professional publishing service Develop specific knowledge of subject area and customer segments to achieve brand awareness and sales goals Keeping abreast of the latest Marketing theory, technologies and best practice to improve marketing ROI, and actively test new marketing techniques Responsible for supporting / assisting with the work of a team of Marketing Executives/Associates and a Marketing Manager, as well as coordinating departmental activity in collaboration with Marketing Coordinators Marketing Coordinators maintain relationships with external suppliers including list brokers, freelance designers, and event organisers Marketing Coordinators are responsible for handling external general queries delegated by customer services and Marketing Executives on a daily-weekly basis This includes reviewers, authors and customers Managing workload and priorities based on delegated tasks/queries from a number of internal and external contacts, including Marketing Executives, Marketing Managers, authors, reviewers, customers Gaining advanced knowledge of all marketing systems, including filemaker systems, global marketing system, online sharing systems, email campaign tool The need for detailed approach to all areas of work to ensure accuracy of data and workflows, and problem-solving approach to this area Developing relationships across many departments with input into workflows and marketing coordination marketing, production, editorial, data care, customer services departments Required Candidate
