Role Description

We are seeking a Managing Director level candidate to lead our CIB DPS Operations teams in the India & Philippines Corporate Centers which include Securities Services operations, Wholesale Payments operations, Markets operations, Client Onboarding & Documentation, and Transformation & Controls The role will report jointly to the DPS Operations Management team and the Corporate Centers CEO and will also join the India Corporate Centre Leadership Team The individual will oversee (on a matrix reporting basis) the teams operations in the locations and partner closely with the leadership in location, Technology, Risk and Controls, and Business to deliver high quality deliverables with efficiency The individual will be a responsible leader with an analytical and strategic mind, have broad knowledge of the business, and committed to productivity and compliance of each of the locations The role will support overall goal and objectives and is expected to continually seek improvements to and eliminate inefficiencies in the current process while raising product quality, increasing volume and throughput, and managing business expectations

Responsibilities include

Oversee the performance of the locations and meet or exceed all performance expectations established in partnership with global business partners and location executive management
Serve as senior escalation point of contact for the locations, managing the administration function of the company, and coordinating office processes and procedures to ensure organizational and operational effectiveness and efficiency

Operate effectively with a team of managers who have functional responsibilities and global reporting lines to achieve goals through collaboration and partnership across lines of business and corporate functions

Drive execution of significant improvement initiatives across large-scale multi-year strategic change programs, transforming processes as well as culture and mindset of the organization

Ensure proper controls and oversight are in place to mitigate risk for the firm
Focus on quality in a risk and control environment with emphasis on First Time Right
Work closely with Compliance and the various international regulators to ensure compliance with local and internationals laws (eg data protection, AML/KYC)
Manage expenses and budgeting to help the organization optimize costs and benefits
Manage resiliency risk and ensure robust business continuity planning and testing of recovery strategies as well as identifying and proactively resolving or protecting against major risks
Provide people leadership and grow and groom internal talent to achieve productivity and engagement

Required Skills and Qualifications

Strong background in leadership management disciplines, relevant operations experience and people management

Extensive experience in Operations management managing large teams across multiple locations and successfully implementing transformative changes to the organization and revolutionizing processes and organizational attitudes

Proven track record of effective leadership as Head of Operations, Operations Director, or similar leadership role across multiple lines of business

Strong ability to build relationships with and influence colleagues, business leaders and functional partners

Confident communicator with ability to provide clear and succinct verbal and written updates; share strategic direction with the community and stakeholders;

Consultative in approach, understanding and anticipating business partner needs and proactively delivering solutions

Drives critical thinking and proactively seeks out best practices, anticipates clients future needs and collaborates on ideas with others Understands clients needs and impact on relationship across JP Morgan

Ability to drive issue resolution, collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to execute consistently on deliverables and communicate status updates and strategic direction to community
