Job Description:

PROCESS & PRODUCT
Lead activities that involve issuing reports, conducting product quality audits, issuing and dispositioning product holds, process and material specifications related to maintaining and improving the product quality within the manufacturing process
Optimization of compound cost as per cost optimization plan
Optimize the use of existing material / alternate material for cost/rationalization/process benefit
Analyze product failure due to compound variations and take necessary improvement measures
Responsible for all the technological activities at the designated area
Industrialize of new compounds as per time line- Annual NPD plan
Review of key product and process parameters and initiate actions
Organize and execute Raw materials trials
Lead Productivity and quality improvement projects
System implementation, monitoring and control
PDCA approach to continual improvement for Productivity, Quality, waste reduction etc

TECHNICAL ECONOMY
Product specification optimization in the designated area

CLAIMS & LOSSES
Monitor products in order to bring in continuous improvement, and keep claims and losses to a minimum

TECHNICAL & QUALITY TASKS
Provide technical know-how and inputs to the designated sections

Analyse mixing variations and take necessary countermeasures

Analytically sound to analyse the data & should retrieve any statistical data available in the system
Knowledge of mixing recipe creation based on recipe released by R&D
Good knowledge in Lab testing and compound Rheo and physical property analysis
Familiarity with polymers, fillers, and/or reinforced composites is required

Proficiency in Tyre Manufacturing Technology (Capable)

(Technical knowhow & ability in compounding process, production processes, systems, layout plans and quality measures)

Proficiency in Plant systems & processes (Foundational)

(Ability to understand & implement 5S, safety practices, production best practices, QBM and other contemporary systems & process)

EXPERIENCE

Minimum 8 years

ERP/SAP knowledge & able to make the specification in SAP

Experience on mixing recipe creation in SCADA, Basic Knowledge in Raw materials
