Job Description:

Key Objectives/Principal Accountabilities (kindly limit to a maximum of eight)

1 Create a strategic vision and marketing plans for the portfolio, based on strong consumer/ customer and painter insights and market understanding, to meet the growth and market share objectives as well as build sustainable competitive advantage for the business

2 Operationalise the marketing plans to win key battles across market, customer & painter segments

3 Formulate the innovation strategy for the portfolio & ensure creation of a robust innovation pipeline

4 Develop, track and ensure sharing of KPIs for business performance in these areas

5 Work closely with regional & global teams

Functional Responsibilities/Network (kindly limit to a maximum of five)

- Customers (End Consumers/Contractors), Sales Team, RD&I Team, Marketing Team Peers, Regional Marketing and Innovation teams

Job Context (the Nature & Scope of the Business)

- The exteriors & waterproofing portfolio contributes to 40% of the top-line and ~37% of the contribution margin for the business

- This portfolio consists of iconic global brands,which is the most critical brand

- The brand is crucial to drive our marketing agenda and therefore an essential part of our strategy in delivering the 14/20 mandate

Actionable Insights Puts customer/painter insights and deep market understanding at the heart of all marketing thinking to drive competitive advantage and brand growth

Brand Strategy and Portfolio Management Creates brands which are meaningful, relevant and highly valued versus competitors

Marketing Strategy and Planning Determines where to focus resources over the medium and long term to drive growth and achieve business goals

Brand Activation Develops and delivers integrated marketing initiatives which bring the brand idea to life and engage customers to change behaviour and drive brand and category growth

Functional Competencies (if known/defined, please include main functional competences required for the role)

- Strong fundamentals in Marketing theory and Practice - Positioning, Brand Management and Marketing Mix development

- Good interpersonal and influencing skills

- 10+ years of professional experience of which at least 3 years has to be in portfolios which involve influencing the influencers, relevant experience in B2C marketing and an ability to independently lead the innovation agenda and has strong commercial acumen

- Post-graduation in Marketing from a good B- School
