KEY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

We have an excellent opportunity for a Data Management / Governance Business Analyst with a background in financial services to join Clients Data & Transformation team at Gurugram The Financial Management Group is now on a growth trajectory in its Information Management journey for the Client and to propel its growth further we are looking for Data Champions with demonstrated experience in information and data management, ideally within financial services

Prior experience as a Business Analyst in Regulatory Reporting, Regulatory Change or finance projects and preparing BRD s is highly sought after
Exposure and understanding of data related Regulatory Requirements eg BCBS 239 and APRA CPG 235 is highly regarded
In this key business focused role, you will be required to work with the business cross functionally and build and maintain strong relationships, and influence your key stakeholders
Your success in this role will require exceptional stakeholder management, and the ability to lead and inspire technical people alike You will be a self - starter, curious and driven, with the ability to self - manage work load and deadlines whilst maintaining a degree of accuracy and quality

FUNCTIONAL & BEHAVIOURAL KNOWLEDGE

Effective at communicating / reporting skills
A passion and genuine interest in Information Management with enthusiasm around bringing a positive change in data culture
Ability to communicate technical information in simple business trems
Demonstrated ability to motivate , influence and gain commitment at all levels of the organization
Strong facilitation, oral and written communication skills Effective presentation skills
Ability to build strong relationship and influence clients and stakeholders
Can do attitude , with a proven record of delivering project outcomes with good stakeholder feedback
Committed to employee engagement and a passion for operational excellence
CFA certification or MBA finance will be preferred
Knowledge on Data Science / Analytics would be plus

DETAILED ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Perform data quality processes per the Data Quality lifecycle (Design , build , test , execute , monitor)
Support stakeholder obligations with regards maintaining data quality to agreed standards;
Consumers identify critical data, establish rules and set performance standards
Providers maintain shared data repositories in a controlled manner to meet data quality requirements
Producers capture data in a manner that meets the quality standards up to the point of delivery to downstream systems
Assist in the establishment of remediation plans where data quality is identified as outside of accepted metrics
Capture high level and detailed data lineage with assistance of data lineage tools like Collibra
Monitor dashboards to ensure test outcomes are within agreed thresholds
Monitor exceptions to ensure clearance within accepted timelines
Liaise with peers within the Group Data Office Providers/Consumers, discuss and raise issues as required

Be a Brand Ambassador for good data management practices
Hands on experience on Informatica Data Quality tool is big advantage

Effective stakeholder management, experience in facing senior business stakeholders

TYPICAL SCOPE & IMPACT

Strong analytical skills and be able to interpret data
Familiar with the tools and methodology needed for successful quality control
Have an understanding of regulatory expectations for financial institutions with regards data quality management
Possess a background / understanding of risks and controls

MINIMUM & PREFERRED EDUCATION

Bachelors degree in Computer Science or Engineering/ MBA / FRM; Professional qualification (eg CPA, CFA, MBA, and Chartered Accountant) preferred or Strong academic background in Financial Accounting and Risk Management
Professional BA qualification (eg ECBA/ CCBA/ CBAP / PMI-PBA / IIBA-AAC/ PMI-ACP) preferred

MINIMUM & PREFERRED EXPERIENCE / SKILLS

Experience 7 to 12 years

Data Business analysis competencies from an Investment Bank or consultancy background

Identifying and documenting business requirements from key business stakeholders
Act as a liaison between the Risk, Finance & Regulatory reporting business team/s and the development and test teams
Accountable for all BA work products focusing mainly on the creation and delivery of Business/Functional Specification documents ensuring that they combine knowledge of what the business wants with knowledge of how the application is built
Gather requirements through a variety of techniques (eg workshops, focus groups and interviews)
Highly proficient in all Microsoft Office tools, including PowerPoint, Excel (confident with Pivots), Word
Good attention to detail and delivery focused
Cooperation with all stakeholders, including Trading, Risk and IT, to ensure that all developments integrate optimally within the IT ecosystem
Good understanding and working knowledge of SDLC and Agile methodology of project execution
Knowledge of data mining including SQL is highly desirable
Awareness of BI tools and Business Objects is desirable
