Department Overview-

Balance Sheet Management (BSM) Centre of Excellence (CoE) is a 200 strong team under Global Finance Operations and

Transformation, focussing on SCB wide Balance Sheet Management Information, Risk Methodologies, Reporting, Decision Support and other Analytics to support various functions of the bank

The areas of expertise include Capital, Liquidity
(regulatory and internal metrics) and Interest Rate Risk in Banking Book (IRRBB)
Rate Risk in Banking Book (IRRBB), Stress Testing Data Framework (STDF)
regulatory submission and Funds Transfer Pricing (FTP) computation All
metrices follow Basel II, Basel III or policies and practise guides published by Treasury as appropriate

This unit is also strongly governed by the Data Quality governance and compliance regulations under BCBS239 and hence supported
through a technology infrastructure with various stages of operational /
financial and data quality assurance, validations and reconciliation functions
embedded in the end-to-end process

Domain rich teams work in a collaborative environment to provide group-wide reports and analysis cutting across several dimensions for both internal as well as external regulatory reporting

The Data Quality Management and Operational / Financial Reconciliation functions ensure accuracy of reporting The change governance function along with the operations teams provide expert impact analysis and support for rolling out system enhancements and changes into the Capital, Liquidity, IRRBB, FTP and Reporting Infrastructure

BSM CoE team interacts with several business partnerson a day-to-day basis within the bank that include Business, Finance, Treasury
(Capital, Liquidity, Markets, Risk and Balance Sheet Optimization), Risk
Analytics, Portfolio Risk, Group Regulatory Reporting and Technology This team provides services covering all client segments of SCB across all countries, through a centralized and standardized delivery model under Global Process Management framework

Job Purpose-

The objective of this role is to lead the business functional design and solution validation of the Business Intelligence

(BI) platform for Treasury The candidate is expected to develop excellent
understanding of liquidity methodology and balance sheet management practices and will lead, on behalf of Treasury business, development of internal MI
platform

Candidate will ensure compliance with both internal and regulatory
liquidity requirements, drive implementation standardisation and delivery of
agreed business benefits

The candidate will manage stakeholder engagement and
ensure efficient communication

Key Responsibities-

Lead selection of BI tools and solutions and support definition of strategic roadmap

Provide inputs into the strategic direction of Treasury platforms and validate projects plans

Collaboratewith delivery partners on the definition of the proposed solution ensuring that it is fit-for-purpose, scalable and cost effective

Ensure that MI are delivered for critical initiatives and that
business benefits are realised

Lead the definition and support the execution of test cases for user acceptance testing (UAT)

Lead the collaboration with Regional Team and delivery team to ensure successful training and embedment of developed tools for Treasury users

Provide ongoing product management maintenance and support
Manage communication with relevant teams to understand user needs, resolve issues and promote usage of the developed product

Qualification & Skills

Functional Experience and Knowledge

10 years of work experience and 6 years of Business Intelligence (BI) platform implementation experience in banking as a functional consultant Previous BI implementation experience in Treasury risk function in Tier 1 bank is an added advantage

Obligatory experience with BI platforms, such as Oracle BI, Tableau, Business Objects and
similar

Proven experience in solution design, software product management or system implementation

Proven ability to comprehend business requirements and processes, to identify inefficiencies,
risk, and to provide appropriate business solutions or alternatives

Ability to independently arrive at conceptual solutions

Critical thinker with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

Good interpersonal skills, with ability to forge strong relationships with business partners and
stakeholders

Excellent written and verbal communication in English

Prior experience with Balance Sheet Management platforms (Moodys Analytics, QRM, Oracle, etc) or booking platforms (Murex, Kondor, etc) is an advantage

Technical Experience and Knowledge

Work experience in the design and development of automated reports

Experience with BI platforms, such as Oracle BI, Tableau, Business Objects and similar

Prior experience
with Balance Sheet Management platforms (Moodys Analytics, QRM, Oracle, etc)
or booking platforms (Murex, Kondor, etc) is an advantage

Product Knowledge

Essential ALM and Commercial Book products

Exposure to trading book products is an advantage

Preferred Educational Qualifications

Graduate (Engineering, Mathematics, Economics, Science) / MBA, PG
Diploma or related degree in Banking / Finance / Statistics or any quantitative
field from an institute of repute
Professional Qualification like CA / CIMA is an advantage
Certifications like FRM / CFA / PRM is an advantage
Graduates with relevant work experience in the
above-mentioned areas will also be considered
