Job Description:

This position is dedicated to adding value to Pernod Ricard USA (PRUSA) through the analysis of scan data, consumer insights, and industry trends to help uncover opportunities to drive sales and defend against competitive threats The position will act in a collaborative role working with 1) PRUSA Region/Chain Sales Managers, 2) PRUSA Trade Capabilities, 3) PRUSA Trade Marketing, 4) Dedicated broker and 5) PRUSA Customer Solutions

Key components/skill sets needed include

Category Management Knowledge following Category Management principles, must have ability to develop and articulate category strategies, analyze relevant data sources, link to shopper insights and provide recommendations that grow the business

Commercial Knowledge understanding of 1) on and off-premise retail channel, 2) PRUSA customers, and 3) distributor/wholesaler go-to-market strategies Broad understanding of marketplace dynamics and impact to BevAlc environment Take part in the integration and planning between HQ, field, distributor Develop analysis and fact based tool kits to move business forward via category management processes

Analytical

Ability to cultivate and develop insights in a test-and-learn environment
Ability to gather, synthesize, analyze, and present data from multiple systems/sources (examples Nielsen/NABCA, Spectra, HH Panel, Account Sold, Shipment, Depletion, etc)
Working knowledge of space management tools (ProSpace or Spaceman)
Working knowledge of market research techniques and approaches

Major Responsibilities / Accountabilities

Proactively analyze and provide category insights/recommendations to assist in growing category sales
Manage the analysis and development of Category Planogram Process to maximize category sales
Provide support to PRUSA customers ie regional analyses, pricing analyses and special projects

Key Qualifications

Education Bachelors Degree required, MBA an asset

Experience / Background Typically requires 3~5 years of previous category sales analysis experience, in a wine and spirit sales environment preferred but not required Previous experience in supporting the assigned account strongly preferred

Working Conditions

Travel to customer sites and field surveys is required

Travel approx 30 PERCENT
