Job Description and Qualifications


Responsible for managing Total Rewards strategy, research, design, implementation, communication, training, and overall administration of the compensation program & the employee benefit function for the Middle East, India, Egypt and Turkey region Plans, develops, and implements new or revised compensation & benefit programs, policies and procedures, in support of the regions business strategy and goals

Major Responsibilities

Evaluates and compares current benefits offering with internal and external plan benchmarks by analyzing surveys and gathering a variety of information to inform decision making Selects and participates in area and industry surveys
Makes recommendations to management on competitive benefits for the regions employee population
Develops specifications for new plans or modifies existing plans to maintain competitive position in the labor market, and to maintain consistent benefit offerings across employee populations and geographies, as appropriate
Develops census data and coordinates with companys broker to solicit insurance companies for quotations for new or modified plans Evaluates quotations, develops cost information for new plans and makes recommendations to management
Implements approved new plans and changes by preparing plan materials, descriptions, and other media for communicating new plans to employees Oversees the implementation of any changes or new plans in the HRIS system Revises and reissues communications material on benefits as needed or required Advises and counsels management and employees on existing benefits
Prepares and executes, with legal consultation, benefit documentation such as original and amended plan texts, benefit agreements and insurance policies Instructs insurance carriers, trustees, and other administrative agencies to effect changes in the benefit program Ensures prompt and accurate compliance
Assures that existing and new benefit programs are adaptable to standardized computer and reporting systems Develops benefit information and statistical and census data for actuaries, insurance carriers, and management
Oversees maintenance of benefits related records, including maintenance of enrollments and claims records for all benefit plans

Manage vendor and consultant relationships Ensures billing from vendors and consultants is accurate for work performed Recommends strategic revisions and monitors the effectiveness of existing compensation policies, guidelines and procedures
Coordinates implementation of existing and new plans, while ensuring benchmarking is completed for cost effective and consistently applied plans, aligned with company Total Rewards objectives
Provides well thought out advice to staff and leadership on pay decisions, policy and guideline interpretation, and job evaluation including the design of creative solutions for compensation-related programs
Performs regular job evaluations and market analysis, aligned with internal and external data and benchmarks May assist in writing job descriptions
Communication lead for all annual pay and incentive processes; with an eye for increasing consistency, reducing risk, and minimizing process complexity
Performs incentive and allowance calculations for all employee groups ensuring accuracy and timeliness of payments according to organizational timelines
Oversee and participate in the preparation of salary surveys to ensure benchmarking data is regularly available and market trends are communicated and understood by leadership, in a proactive manner
Keeps apprised of national, and local compensation laws and regulations and income, provincial, and social tax laws to ensure compliance
In coordination with International Mobility Team, develops mobility policies and solutions that meets diverse intra and inter region mobility requirements of a growing regional business

Required Minimum Education
Bachelors degree in business, human resources or related field

Preferred Education
Masters degree in business, human resources or related field

Required Minimum Work Experience and Qualifications

8-10 years of experience in the administration of compensation and benefit plans to include policy development/revision, vendor management and negotiation, design and analysis of compensation and benefit plans, performing market analysis, forecasting and trending, and making presentations to senior management Mathematical aptitude, analysis skills and ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing Strong interpersonal and influence skills Mastery of legal and regulatory environment as it relates to compensation Expert level of MS Excel, and ability to use MS Office suite of products and HRIS

Industry experience in Chemicals or Oil & Gas Industries preferred
