Job Description:

The Communications team at Akanksha works with external stakeholders for PR and events and partners with internal teams to create the overall brand and Communications strategies for the organization The team consists of two Senior Associates who are positioned in Mumbai and Pune respectively and manage content development for the annual report, Impact report and manage social media updates The team is also responsible for creating content, scripting, and filming of videos that are made for promotions for all organization requirements that include PR, talent recruitment, donor communication and internal meetings, retreats and training programs An additional Senior associate works in the Mumbai office as a graphic designer and is responsible for designing all marketing collaterals and materials

What your role will entail

- Planning and creating a communications strategy along with the Senior Director, Development & Communications

- Overseeing both the Senior Associates and supporting all the deliverables required of the Communications team

- Building a Communications calendar to include school program requirements and other team needs that support the schools

- Managing and executing events for both internal and external initiatives

- Working with the Donor Relations team to ensure that all Communications initiatives are updated

- Working with other teams in the organization to ensure that the Communications team is abreast of the latest updates that could be relevant to Communications strategies and projects

- Managing to coach and motivating the Communications team through a range of learning opportunities

What you need for this Position


- 3-5 years of relevant work experience in Marketing and Communications roles

- Prior experience of working with, and managing a Marketing and Communications team in a deadline-oriented, target-driven environment

Knowledge/ Skills

- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written

- Proficiency in the use of the MS office toolkit

- Excellent interpersonal, public speaking and presentation skills

- Ability to present complex ideas clearly and in an engaging manner

- Strong project management skills and ability to pay attention to detail

- Commitment to excellence and accuracy, with an ability to make decisions in a fast-paced environment

- Strong time management skills, a keen sense of urgency and an ability to accommodate multiple projects simultaneously with tight deadlines

- Team management skills and ability to coordinate with different functional teams
