About The Role

Role Type 12 month Fixed-Term contract

The role is a high profile role within the Group Finance Regulatory Reporting team responsible for managing and compiling the preparation of the Groups financial prudential reporting responsibilities, which includes the Related Exposures (ARF 222), Capital Adequacy (ARF 110) and Pillar 3, G-SIB and QIS reporting, ASIC Levy, Major Bank Levy, RBA Fees and other regulatory returns You will provide broad engagement with a diverse set of functions within Finance (ie External Reporting, FP&A, Financial Control), Treasury, Risk, the business and Operational Risk and Compliance in the production of these returns You will also play a key role in improving reporting processes and automation

Part of the Financial Control Community of Practice Formulation, implementation and monitoring of accounting policies and financial controls Compliance with statutory and regulatory financial reporting requirements; Accountable for the integrity of the numbers by delivering accurate, reliable and timely information, ensuring that the processes are streamlined; Embedding a strong governance culture

Role responsibilities

Key subject matter expert within Group Finance on APRAs APS 222 and ARF 110 prudential reporting standards and returns and other prudential reporting matters, providing assistance and advice to Finance and other functions The role has profile to senior Finance, Treasury and Risk personnel, regulators and internal and external audit functions
Manage the preparation of the Banks internal monthly capital adequacy calculations liaising closely with key members of Treasury and Finance on monthly cross check processes
Prepare APRAs quarterly Capital related returns, including Basel II/Basel III and Pillar 3 reporting requirements which are published in the half yearly Results Announcement and Annual Report
Manage the preparation of APRAs quarterly ARF 110 and ARF 222 returns and associated reporting (such as Pillar 3) and other annual reporting requirements (such as G-SIB, QIS) from the Bank of International Settlements that are of a prudential nature Ensure returns are of a high standard and submitted on time
Manage the production and review of APRAs quarterly Major Bank Levy
Drive process improvement and automation of regulatory reporting processes

About You

To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following

Strong financial accounting and controller skills
Sound knowledge of IFRS accounting requirements, Prudential Reporting standards and banking products
Chartered Accountant (CA), Certified Practicing Accountant (CPA) or equivalent
Experience with statutory and regulatory reporting and HFM
Demonstrated strong planning, co-ordinating and prioritisation and execution skills
Analytical, curious and an advocate for continuous process improvement
