Job Description:

Job purpose (part of description)

- Perform actuarial calculations/ analyses as per project requirements

- Identify any errors in actuarial models and correct them

- Assist seniors in peer reviewing actuarial reports

- Ensure proper documentation, building technical specifications, testing and change control on the model

- Understanding of any reporting metric viz Indian regulation/Solvency II/ IFRS/US GAAP

- Ability to perform model validation using independent excel models

- Ability adhere strictly to project timelines, while maintaining quality of work

- Ability to effectively manage team discipline, motivation and morale

- Maintain the integrity amongst the team members

- Perform ah-hoc research and development requests as required

- Perform reserving audits for Life/Health Insurance Products under Stat & US GAAP assumptions

Key Requirements

- 2-5 years of experience in pricing, valuation / reporting or modelling function in life actuarial team of an insurance / consulting / outsourcing company

- Experience in actuarial valuation software such as Prophet / Axis / MG Alpha

- Understanding of insurance products and regulations of one or more geographies

- Ability to perform analysis and complete tasks, while maintaining quality of work product during time sensitive deadlines

- Strong documentation skills Required to be adept in quickly grasping key details and summarizing them in a presentation or document

- Good actuarial exam progress

- Willingness to travel to meet clients

Strong quantitative background eg Engineering, Mathematics and Statistics (Desirable)

Strong technical skills, proficient R,SAS, SQL, Python, VBA (Desirable)
