Job Description:

Management Accountant - ( 190000WP )


Assist in day-to-day financial activities such as reporting of financials and variances to plan, accounting, asset management, and cost analysis, monthly management report and accompanying schedules, worksheets and narratives, including Budget vs Actual variance reports
Reporting variances to set standards in a manner that supervisors and managers can understand and take corrective action
Prepare and analyze financial statements and reports to include a variety of reasonably standard, periodic intermediate or end products such as cost reports, trial balances, balance sheets, profit-and-loss statements, etc
Perform professional accounting work involving compilation, consolidation and analysis of financial data Ensures the integrity of accounting information by recording, verifying, consolidating, and entering transactions
Assist in the annual budget and forecasting, including reports and presentations
Analyze plant monthly financial results, maintain productivity savings and report monthly on the status of the plant and prepare and circulate reports
Identify and implement procedures and reporting cycles to improve methods of controlling, monitoring and reporting key performance metrics
Assist with reviewing internal controls, implementing new policies and procedures, financial statement preparation and analysis and develop controls to ensure management has accurate and pertinent information concerning manufacturing operations
Perform variance analysis, combined with developing and producing models and reports to conduct analysis based on management/customer requests, to determine issues and apply critical thinking skills, financial modeling and other best practices to meet productivity and financial goals
Maintain fix asset accounting and prepare month-end reports and analyses
Organize and conduct inventory cycle counts of raw materials, finished product and packaging materials and works with the Plant Controller and Warehouse team to locate and disposal of obsolete inventory
Participates as a member of complex project teams in support of project lead, involving information gathering, providing assistance in determining root cause, compilation, performing analysis, projections, developing resolutions, and presentation of results
Provides financial advice by studying operational issues; applying financial principles and practices; developing recommendation and responds to financial inquiries by gathering, analyzing, summarizing, and interpreting data
Any other duties as assigned by immediate manager


Desired Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance or CPA

Desired Skills & Experience

At least 5 to 10 years of experience in financial and cost accounting in a medium to large manufacturing company
Advanced knowledge and application of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite, SAP
