Consolidate, control, challenge and communicate accurate financial results and plans for the Sector & MAPs Team whilst meeting compliance requirements

Holds the relevant business leaders to account to deliver their sales and profit targets, using financial data and insight to drive action and optimise productivity and performance from a commercial lens both tactically and strategically

What youll be doing

To consolidate and report financial results (P&L / BS / CF)
To communicate financial performance to key stakeholders
To allocate and assign responsibility for financial control activity/tasks
To review Business & Investment cases across the Unit
To ensure there is an aligned MTP which is internally consistent (eg future revenue streams includes consideration of capex/FTE requirements)
Liaising and working alongside key support functions including Commercial & Portfolio to agree and monitor targets & performance
To be the unit central point of contact for audit and compliance requests
To manage financial risks and comply with appropriate governance/controls
To provide technical accounting expertise & policy decisions
To be responsible for managing the units Labour Cost and Resource reporting and planning, partnering with HR lead for the unit and challenging where appropriate
Preparation of Sectoral and Regional Operational Reviews
Present to operational Stakeholders on risks to target, and coordinate & drive accountability around plans to address key risks for the sector
To be responsible for the performance of the offshore support team, and drive improvements in processes and performance
Driving engagement within the LG&H Finance Team Onshore and Offshore, and the wider MAPs team Leading and contributing to People Plan initiatives & representing the Local team in wider MAPs led initiatives

Mandatory
Significant Senior Stakeholder experience and working within highly matrixed environments Experience of working with Commercial teams to deliver the unit financials
Understand the way to evaluate and negotiate the commercial aspects of contracts
Ability to interpret financials into meaningful insight, to inform decision making
Be willing to voice an opinion and look at the art of the possible Must be able to create a clear vision, delivering against key metrics
Demonstrates an extremely high level of analytical capability
Preferred
Understands the Telecoms industry with good product knowledge
An excellent track record of effectively influencing the stakeholder requirements from both a BT or EE (company strategic priorities) and external perspective
