Role Purpose

This new paralegal position will support SAPs Litigation Group with secondary support to SAPs cybersecurity legal team, managing and coordinating SAPs responses to litigation-related matters and security incidents The paralegal will report to the Head of Litigation and will provide guidance to various legal and business units regarding litigation processes and cybersecurity A track record of efficient project management, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and ability to balance multiple tasks are essential

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS

Support the SAP Legal response to data security incidents, litigation, and investigations

SAPs Litigation Group is responsible for managing SAPs portfolio of litigation and litigation-related disputes SAPs cybersecurity legal team is responsible for providing legal support and guidance to SAPs Global Security and incident response teams In the event SAP becomes the subject of a regulatory investigation or litigation (including government litigation, class action or customer lawsuit), you will be responsible for assisting in the coordination of internal and external tasks related to the investigation or litigation Responsibilities may include assisting with managing certain tasks involving outside counsel, outside experts, and SAP experts; supporting the vendor engagement and budgetary processes; triggering litigation processes including litigation holds; coordinating discovery and data collections and participating in various aspects of data collection and review This position requires close coordination with SAPs Litigation Discovery Manager At times, the paralegal may be required to coordinate with SAPs Legal Compliance & Investigations Office (LCIO), Audit, and IT groups

Miscellaneous

This position will require you to coordinate and assist with scheduling and logistics of witness interviews, meetings and conference calls, to conduct basic legal research and to review and/or proofread legal documents for SAP Legal

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

BA and paralegal certification
One to two years of litigation paralegal experience

Required skills

State-of-Art discovery practices including machine learning in document review
Excellent project management skills
Demonstrated people (vendor) management skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong attention to detail, well organized, analytical
Ensure highest standards of integrity, ethics and behavior

Preferred skills

Knowledge of basic cybersecurity concepts (eg, digital forensics, chain of custody)
Knowledge of work tools (Office 365, SLACK, MS Teams, Mimecast, SAP Jam, SAP Wiki)

WORK EXPERIENCE

1 years of experience supporting litigation practices
Prior experience with cybersecurity projects is a plus
