Job Description:

Role SummaryResponsible for driving technical accounting compliance, financial & operational internal controls, process simplification, & operational excellence to deliver accurate actual financial reporting & analysis

Intermediate level professional positions requiring subject matter knowledge & experience, more independence in problem solving & decision making Overall responsibility for project financials including forecasting & variance analysis
Essential ResponsibilitiesProject Controlling

Control and have at all times full knowledge of all financial movements within the project scope, and ensuring they are correctly and accurately reported
Ensure that all Committed costs for the project are fully documented and supported by ERP and all Costs to Complete are verified, understood by all stake-holders and supported by reasonable assumptions and documentation
Manage the issuance, reduction, recovery and cancellation of bonds and guarantees issued to the client
Manage taxes and duties and the effect on costs and cash flows
Manage and reconcile the onshore or offshore project results both within the project accounts and with respect to balance sheet positions related to the project
Ensure consistency of assessment of risk recognition and accounting for any risks and opportunities in the projects Support correct risk recognition valuation and associated accounting
Monitor and forecast cash flows arising from the project, setting control environment for the cash management in order to optimize cash flow
Monitor and forecast revenue and margins arising from the project, setting control environment for the revenue and margin management

Process Management
Understand the project documents and systems and actively manage financial implications arising from them
Ensure that all financial processes and internal controls, including Delegation of Authority (DoA), are implemented, robust and compliant
Ensure the adequate establishment of the onshore projects in conjunction with the Head of Project Controlling and local Unit finance team

Management reporting
Manage the periodical partial / consolidated project financial summaries and its presentations of the results
Produce all financial project reporting as requested
Provide management with reliable financial data in order to assist in the decision-making

Key Performance Indicators
Accuracy of the revenue recognition and margins forecast for the project
Project financials for projects of the unit are accurately prepared with full understanding of the content by the respective project controllers as reflected in the project review
Accurate and timely preparation and consolidation of financial reporting for the project
Accurate cash and revenue forecasting and management
Management of the bonds and guarantees
Effectively manage all internal project controlling interfaces on the project (if applicable) such as other businesses, off and on shore locations including site
Report control deficiencies to the project and finance management
Quality of the project controlling reporting
Qualifications/RequirementsQualified Chartered Accountant / CIMA / ICWA / MBA with finance specialization from institute of repute
Minimum 5 years of work experience in Project, business or factory controlling
Sound knowledge of Indian Accounting Standards & US GAAP
Sound knowledge of management accounting, MIS reporting and Indian tax laws
Working knowledge on Internal Control system, ERP- SAP (FICO) and foreign currency hedging & forward contracts
Commercial instrument knowledge (treasury, bonds, ECA, LC, Insurance)
Commercial awareness (contractual, claims management, damages)
