Lead Materials Plan & Execution Specialist ( Job Number 1919581 )

Role Summary/Purpose

In this role you will coordinate and expedite the flow of materials (from suppliers and within the factory) according to production schedules as well as plan and schedule material/production needs The role requires a comprehensive, in-depth understanding of basic and complex scheduling concepts and principles and a working knowledge of the other production support functions

Essential Responsibilities

In the role of Lead Materials Plan & Execution Specialist , you will

Manage master planning, material processes and systems, prepare and update production schedules and purchasing needs
Communicate across multiple departments to effectively coordinate operations between manufacturing production and sales
Work with Inventory Planners to ensure deliveries meet customers expectations
Communicate weekly production goals and factory load
Generate / Review SAP reports and coordinate with Customer Service to ensure customers expectations are aligned with current operational commitments
Create weekly metric charts and focus on metrics in order to meet delivery performance targets
Coordinate with functional peers to remove roadblocks to execution of current production orders and to support delivery to customer commitments
Support commercial team in quoting and managing of parts
Manage daily and long-range scheduling while maintaining productivity cost controls
Identify, scope, and lead cross-functional projects / teams to deliver solutions for the business
Be a role model in executing daily scheduling tasks Work pro-actively on self-improvement and assist / mentor others
Present data and improvement project progress to plant leadership and supply chain executives on cross-functional teams about how functions and initiatives interconnect and contribute to overall strategy


Bachelors Degree from an accredited college or university (OR High School Diploma / GED from an accredited school or institution with a minimum 7 years of experience in Manufacturing, Materials Planning and/or Execution)
Minimum 3 years of experience in Manufacturing, Materials Planning and / or Execution
Minimum 3 years of hands-on SAP experience

Eligibility Requirements

Travel up to 5 PERCENT of the time, as required

Experience with material planning in machine shop work centers

Proven analytical and organizational ability
Effective problem identification and solution skills

Ability to coordinate several projects simultaneously

Six Sigma Green Belt
Experience working in a Machining and / or Fabrication environment
