Job Description:

- Design and deliver a lean execution strategy across key horizontal finance processes (commercial finance, order-to-cash, source-to-pay, record-to-report, finance planning and analysis, product finance, employee-related etc) and regions aligned with global finances goals and objectives

- Develop value stream maps for the finance organization and eliminate process waste through implementation of Lean techniques Connect broadly across the region to engage the finance organization at all levels to generate and implement potential solutions

- Facilitates value stream mapping sessions, action workouts, kaizens and develops model lines to showcase results for the finance function

- Utilize Lean, Change and Project Management principles, methods, tools and techniques in combination with training, coaching and influencing skills to achieve specific project objectives/outcomes

- Establish appropriate operating rhythms with key stake holders to communicate progress, providing coaching and plan action workouts

- Serve as a change agent by influencing, communicating and institutionalizing a culture of simplification and standardization Train the finance teams in the use of Lean tools to drive significant business impact

- Partner with other regional finance lean leaders to create a comprehensive Lean strategy for the Finance Value Stream, with a targeted focus on top areas of constraint

- Leverage a continuous learning mindset by seeking best practices from the external and internal communities

Role Summary/Purpose

The Finance Lean Leader role will lead cross-functional projects to drive standardization, stability and simplification in the GE Healthcare business key finance processes This includes providing change leadership using Change Acceleration Process methods and tools across assigned critical business initiatives They will partner with key business and functional leaders to understand, define and drive the implementation of Lean strategies and processes across their process/regional teams

Qualifications/Requirements

1 Bachelors degree from an accredited university or college and a minimum of 13+ years of experience in project management and initiatives/lean processes

2 Solid PC skills experience with financial systems/applications (ie Oracle, SAP, COGNOS, Business Objects, etc), strong Excel skills in data compilation and aggregation (ie pivot tables, Vlookup, and macros)

3 Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to communicate complex business issues in a clear/concise manner

4 Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence others and drive change while working across all levels, functions, and regions

5 Strong critical thinking skills and ability to add value to operating teams

Desired Characteristics

1 Trained and/or certified in LEAN process improvement

2 Proven Lean experience significantly experienced in successfully implementing Lean/Lean Projects in an operational and industrial business setting

3 The minimum foundational level of appreciation of the Finance function and its key activities

4 Strong analytical skills able to clearly link financial results to operational performance drivers, generate alternatives and drive positive change, provides data-driven insights

5 Clear thinking/problem solving successfully led projects/process improvements within operations/finance functions involving process improvements; able to quickly grasp new ideas

6 Adaptable/Flexible being open to change in response to new information, different or unexpected circumstances, and/or to work in ambiguous situations

7 Integrity accepting and adhering to high moral, ethical, and personal values in decisions, communications, actions and when dealing with others

8 Confidence/Assertiveness strong influencing skills across business functions, execute with a high sense of urgency, and ability to constructively challenge the status quo

9 Communication skills articulate and fact based, comfortable with executive communications

10 Experience working in a matrixed environment
