Job Title Lab Vantage LIMS System Admin

Location Oceanside, CA

Job Summary

Customer is seeking Lab Vantage LIMS System Administrator that will be active with system administration, troubleshooting and support in a validated GxP environment LIMS responsibilities include system configuration, instrument integration, system monitoring and periodic review The candidate will also assist upgrades which include installation of the application, system configuration, integration connectors, OQ testing, PQ testing, certification, and QC instrument migration Be involved in all aspects of computer systems validation and qualification activities as part of an overall Software/Product Development Lifecycle (SDLC) approach

Responsibilities and Duties

The activities will include

Perform LIMS platforms system administration tasks
Engage with LIMS users, IT architects and system managers to understand current architecture, data flows and downstream integration points
Work with LIMS end users to develop custom fields and associated report methods, followed by completion of all validation activities prior to deployment in production environment
Translate user needs into working features and functions within the LIMS Modules Sample Management, Environment Monitoring, Stability, Standards and Reagents and Reporting
Identify opportunities for streamlining LIMS business process and performance issues
Work with other system administrators and end users/customers to help configure and develop functions based on business requirements
Troubleshoot Analytical Instrument connectivity issues, custom field calculations, and optimize processing methods
Document, respond, and resolve LIMS system incidents
Provide account creation, role-based security, reporting, instrument interfaces, data interfaces, system auditing and monitoring

Deliverables

Develop LIMS system architecture documents describing data flows, integration points, data interfaces and instrument interfaces
Review Validation Testing results of the updated configuration, custom fields, and processing methods
Create LIMS configuration and technical documents covering areas like role-based security, auditing, monitoring, reporting and usage
Review LIMS System Incident Reports
Weekly status reports that include the number of service tickets opened, closed, and in-progress The report will include a work plan for outstanding/in-progress issues

Minimum Qualifications

A Bachelors degree in Engineering, Management, Life Sciences, or other related technical field (or equivalent military training) with five or more years of experience in pharmaceutical or other regulated industry

Required experience

5 years of LIMS system administration experience in a regulated environment

Experience with the following

Computer Systems Validation / QA within FDA (GxP) regulated environments, including 21 CFR Part 11 regulation
Automated testing tools
Validating and qualifying various IT systems used in Life Sciences environment
Developing full validation documentation and testing protocols (IQ/OQ/PQ/UAT) within the various SDLC phases

The candidate must

Good Communication skills
Be a self-starter and be motivated to provide a solid product quality and customer experience
Possess effective skills for analyzing, evaluating and troubleshooting for a specific scientific / technical discipline
Well-developed knowledge of pharmaceutical industry standards and requirements (eg cGMPs, GAMP)
