Position Instructional Designer

Reports to Director, L&D, HR

Job Summary The Instructional Designers primary responsibility is for the technical development and deployment of learning materials using a variety of authoring tools and deployment methodologies across the global enterprise in support or growth initiatives; this includes scoping and consulting on projects that could have eLearning, classroom training, web based training, and blended solutions; with a focus on onboarding, business acumen, leadership development, change management, project management tasks, testing, solution packaging/publishing, testing, and implementation The person in this role works with key internal stakeholders across multiple locations (US, UK, India) to identify and assess learning and training needs so they can design learning experiences which drive growth and provide a high quality experience for associate in our technology focused workforce This role is a first of a kind and the person in this role will ensure best in class instructional design standards are met This role will require occasional travel to other locations across North America, Europe, and Asia, to collaborate with internal partners to design develop and implement blended, instructor-led and digital training materials Essential Job Functions Responsible for developing optimal learning solutions using sound instructional design methodology that meet learning objectives for internal and external clients

Proactively partner with internal consulting partners and clients to understand learning objectives and training needs in order to write content, develop curriculum, create storyboards and scripts for projects

Lead the decision making process and influence internal partners to implement the most impactful training solution

Partner with Learning Partners, Program Managers, Delivery Specialists, stakeholders across the business and other project team members to identify, understand and develop training and learning solutions, meet overarching project time lines and deliverables and gather input & feedback on the effectiveness of the training materials and programs

Manage design process through ideation, creation, execution and evaluation of training materials Clearly define scope and resources needed for the project Create, adjust and adhere to project timelines Facilitate progress meetings with stakeholders throughout project

Remain current with instructional design and industry standards and best practices Research and implement new authoring tools, environments, media and eLearning techniques Evaluate technologies for instructional enhancement opportunities in order to deliver efficiencies and improvements

Preferred Work Experience 8-10 Years; A minimum of 8 years-experience in all phases of instructional design, curriculum design/development/delivery with both instructor-led and elearning projects Must be knowledgeable in eLearning development tools such as, Articulate Storyline, Captivate, simulation-tools such as Camtasia

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Tool Skills/Knowledge Advanced skill in Articulate, Captivate, and other eLearning tools (especially, Adobe Creative suite) Experience independently managing learning projects, especially with multiple stakeholders and internationally Proven ability to quickly learn software systems and develop training programs

Demonstrated capability to build independently, test, and upload web based training content and virtual solutions such as elearning courses

Interpersonal Skills

Prior experience of working independently and in global environments is essential Ability to build successful & credible relationships at all organizational levels
