At KhataBook, we- re building utility solutions for small & medium businesses (SMBs) Our first offering - an Android app enabling businesses to digitally record the credit they extend to customers - went viral A huge chunk of our growth came organically and came fast, simply via word of mouth In a matter of months, KhataBook has been downloaded 2M times, and more and more businesses are becoming a part of this network This of course validated our product thought, but further impressed upon us the sheer size of latent demand for technology in Indian businesses

Some context of the market 90% of Indias $1 Trillion retail markets is controlled by traditional/unorganized sector Which means ~$900B worth of commerce flows through ~50M small & medium shops/warehouses/kiosks/homes, scattered all over the country - from mighty metros to tiny villages These businesses have been underserved and were until recently disconnected from the internet But, Jio and ~300M new smartphones in the last 2 years are changing that, unimaginably fast! A network powered by millions of businesses, built in turn to power these businesses - thats our goal at KhataBook

Were a Sequoia, & Y Combinator funded team based out of Bengaluru

Roles & Responsibilities

- Managing day to day operations at the customer support and coordinate with the central team

- Design customer service processes that scale at every point in the customer lifecycle including sales, onboarding and retention

- Monitoring team performance, productivity and service levels on an ongoing basis

- Use data to inform all layers of our operating processes and strategic direction such as the timing of customer touchpoints and how we ensure consistent customer outcomes

- Work closely with the central team to set up a process to manage our own website chat and ensure maximum lead conversion

- Ensure Training Plans and Learning Paths have adhered for all new hires

- Support SOP creations & Exception trackers for all new and stable processes

- Create daily/weekly dashboards to track the performance of teams

- Building and developing knowledge and expertise on the process to ensure compliance with relevant regulations

- Structured problem-solving skills and experience Use a systematic, disciplined and fact-based process that gets to the root cause of problems


- Work Experience - 3 to 5 years with prior experience in team management

- Exceptional and professional communication skills; both verbal and written

- Ability to interact with a wide range of people across departments and build a strong positive relationship

- Excellent Customer Service skills with a proven quality track record

- Team player with a positive attitude

- Ability to develop process frameworks
