Junior Civil Engineer - Aviation Design - ( BI 0007L7 )

Jacobs is seeking for our Jacksonville office a Junior Civil Engineer - Aviation Design with a comprehensive understanding of principles, theories, concepts, and industry practices and standards and their application Responsibilities will include

Demonstrating time management skills
Maintaining effective communication with project team members and with the customer
Participating in planning, cost development and management, and scheduling for assigned projects
Performing all aspects of engineering, and design, bidding and construction support services Works under minimal supervision, work is reviewed for adequacies on completion Will provide some technical guidance to less experienced design and engineering personnel
Performing quality control and design calculations
Directs and coordinates activities of Project Engineers, Engineers, and Technicians to ensure project progresses on schedule and within prescribed budget
Maintains positive relationships with current and past clients
Supervises the design and ongoing progress of a project, including the coordination of the project with City, State, and Federal officials, and other outside agencies as required
Using computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform engineering tasks


3-5 years of experience
BS Civil Engineering
Transportation Design Preferred Not Required
Construction Inspection Preferred Not Required
FAA and FDOT experience
AutoCAD Civil 3D, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Project Experience Required
Ability to work in team environment
