Oracle Applications Labs (OAL) organization runs the applications that run Oracle, develops enhancements and shares best practices with customers

We are responsible for implementing, maintaining, upgrading, and extending almost all the modules of Oracle Applications

We are also working on developing new products which will work as plug and play with Oracle Applications

We are currently seeking a talented and energetic Java backend developer to join our team and work from our Hungarian office

Being part of the OAL team provides opportunity to work on the Oracles Cloud CRM applications and their integration with other related modules using feature-rich JavaScript Framework (OJET), Java EE and Spring technologies, Apache Kafka and Solr, Oracle middleware and database technologies

This team member will also provide mentorship and guidance to developers across teams on how to develop performant, reusable, and scalable SaaS applications that are ready to run on any PaaS

Detailed Description and Job Requirements

Work with Oracles world class technology to develop, implement, and support Oracles global infrastructure

As a member of the IT organization, you will assist with the analysis of existing complex programs and formulate logic for new complex internal systems

Prepare flow charting, perform coding, and test/debug programs

Develop conversion and system implementation plans Recommend changes to development, maintenance, and system standards

Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others

Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization

Skills/Experience

A BS/MS degree in Engineering, Information Technology or equivalent discipline

3 years of relevant IT experience, preferably in an IT, consulting or other relevant organization

Competency with as many of the following technologies as possible Java EE, JPA, Apache Kafka and Solr, Spring, web service technologies

Strong understanding of programming logic, standards, patterns and algorithms

Experience in creating scalable web based RESTful APIs

Knowledge and experience with Microservice architecture pattern

Provide tactical expertise in the design and development of both technical and process solutions

Solid analytical and problem solving skills

Self-motivated with demonstrated investigative skills and ability to prioritize and multi-task

Detailed Description and Job Requirements

Analyze, design develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for commercial or end user applications Writes code, completes programming and performs testing and debugging of applications

As a member of the software engineering division, you will perform high-level design based on provided external specifications Specify, design and implement minor changes to existing software architecture Build highly complex enhancements and resolve complex bugs Build and execute unit tests and unit plans Review integration and regression test plans created by QA Communicate with QA and porting engineering as necessary to discuss minor changes to product functionality and to ensure quality and consistency across specific products

Duties and tasks are varied and complex needing independent judgment Fully competent in own area of expertise May have project lead role and or supervise lower level personnel BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area 4 years of software engineering or related experience
